Too much patience becomes a lack of urgency, and this series is a microcosm of that. Right now, it is hard to see how they get this series into Skubal's hand, and that is a f******* crime. Harris said there was no "timeline" dictated by Skubal's control and there was no extra pressure to maximize the best pitcher is baseball. Well Scott, maybe there should have been? How many players is Harris credited with acquiring? McKinstry and Torres? Giving him credit for Al Avila's guys developing and making the playoffs isn't justified. He wasted precious resources signing several players who didn't contribute anything. And he acquired players at the deadline who helped us lose several games. Harris did a good job rebuilding our farm system but a strong farm system isn't just used to feed the ML team with talent. A good farm system should also be used as trade chips to immediately help the ML team. So, in effect, he's failed. A good GM is good at all 3 phases, developing the farm system, making trades and signing free agents. Quote

I believe the challenge system is going to give a lot of hitters a boost next season, but while that may be good for our hitters, it's only going to exacerbate the problems this pitching staff has throwing strikes. Maeda, Cobb, Urquidy, Seawald, Torres, Flaherty, Paddack, Morton, Montero, Finnegan, McKinstry, Sweeney, Kanhle, Vierling...sure I am missing someone, but that isn't impressive at all. It's like stopping at a Going Out Business sale and buying the last few things that are left on the shelf. Quote

They both might get swept in games that weren't even close. Quote
