We will never know will we?   The guys that were playing tonight and for the past couple of months had no chance either.

If you think there are pitchers like Logan Gilbert in AA, well, I just don't know what to say.

If you stick some of Tigers hitters in AA, they would be hitting .350 with a 1.200 OPS.  The difference between AA and the majors is a wide gulf.

be that as it may, if they go down in this series without being any more competitive than they have been so far, that plus Sept in general will stand a as huge black mark for the organization that will take some serious future winning to live down, and as thin as the pitching pipeline is, they probably only have until Skubal and Mize walk to do it.

Harris has done a great job improving all levels of the organization, and winning most trades, and getting to the playoffs a lot sooner than anyone really thought possible, and advancing one round each year, and winning 2 and then 1 games in the ALDS. There are only 8 teams still playing!

I think he has done a great job so far, but it is fair at this point to ask it you need a different approach now that the organization is competent. Too much patience becomes a lack of urgency, and this series is a microcosm of that.

Right now, it is hard to see how they get this series into Skubal's hand, and that is a f******* crime. Harris said there was no "timeline" dictated by Skubal's control and there was no extra pressure to maximize the best pitcher is baseball.

Well Scott, maybe there should have been?

How many players is Harris credited with acquiring? McKinstry and Torres? Giving him credit for Al Avila's guys developing and making the playoffs isn't justified. He wasted precious resources signing several players who didn't contribute anything. And he acquired players at the deadline who helped us lose several games. Harris did a good job rebuilding our farm system but a strong farm system isn't just used to feed the ML team with talent. A good farm system should also be used as trade chips to immediately help the ML team. So, in effect, he's failed. A good GM is good at all 3 phases, developing the farm system, making trades and signing free agents.

I believe the challenge system is going to give a lot of hitters a boost next season, but while that may be good for our hitters, it's only going to exacerbate the problems this pitching staff has throwing strikes.

This has to be the most boring, least suspenseful playoff baseball game I’ve ever watched in full.

I remember the 2012 world series being extremely boring.

Seattle's bats woke up, and ours didn't. The Tigers are cooked, and have more questions going into the off-season than a team who made the 2nd round of the playoffs ought to have. I hope at least one core player gets moved, if for no other reason than to shake it up and let everyone else know that no one is safe.

I don't see what Harris has done to help the mlb team.  Almost anyone of note was here when Harris was hired.

Maeda, Cobb, Urquidy, Seawald, Torres, Flaherty, Paddack, Morton, Montero, Finnegan, McKinstry, Sweeney, Kanhle, Vierling...sure I am missing someone, but that isn't impressive at all.  It's like stopping at a Going Out Business sale and buying the last few things that are left on the shelf.

The Tigers won't challenge any pitches they swing and miss at. 😅

the one truth in sports team management is that if you aren't moving forward, you are moving backward. If you aren't getting better you are getting worse. Stasis is not an option.

The Yankees and Cubs are in the same boat, and maybe worse. They both might get swept in games that weren't even close.
