MichiganCardinal Posted October 11 Author Posted October 11 I expect a shootout. I’m in Illinois for work, have the day off Monday, and I’m debating making the seven hour drive down for the game tomorrow. Financial responsibility be damned. Quote

MichiganCardinal Posted October 11 Author Posted October 11 I like the Lions chances tomorrow. I don’t love them, but I like them. The weakness tomorrow will be in the secondary. But KC isn’t really a team loaded with weapons that are licking their chops to burn you over the top, especially without Rice. Xavier Worthy is the closest they’ve got, and he’s not had a great year. Averaging like two receptions per game and only 11 yards per reception. I’d expect him to get a few, but not dominate. Where KC can burn you is when you fail to get pressure of any kind and Mahomes can manufacture something. The defensive line and linebacking corps is virtually at full strength. They should be able to do their job. Meanwhile the KC defense has shown signs of taking a slight step back this year. We all saw the Chris Jones clip last week. I think we should have success in the short to intermediate pass game to Jamo, LaPorta, and ASB. 2 Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted October 12 Posted October 12 The NFL is not going to allow Taylor Swift's future husband to go 2-4 if they can help it. Lions have to be near-perfect tonight. Calls will not be going their way. And you know it ! Quote

holygoat Posted October 12 Posted October 12 I have a bad feeling the Lions lose this game. I just hope they don't sustain any more major injuries. Quote

Would 3-2 be acceptable? That's a tough schedule even if Baltimore stinks this season and Burrows is hurt. They also play at the Rams, at Vikings and at the Bears in January when it will be cold. Home games aren't any picnic either. Tampa, Minnesota, Green Bay, Dallas and Pittsburgh. It's a hellacious schedule with injuries (like the one to Burrow) but they're good enough to overcome it, it's going to be a grind though. Quote

Same here, it's a likely loss with all the injuries and the Chiefs desperation plus you know Goodell doesn't want his new Golden Boy going 2-4 so look for some ref intervention tonight. All the odds are stacked against the Lions Quote

The Tampa home game and LA road game will be, could be, tough. But every time I underestimate the Lions, they surprise me. Just...go ahead and win them all. Impress me...😅😅 Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted October 12 Posted October 12 I expect a loss tonight. We have our starting LT our, our backup LT out, 3 three top defensive linemen out, and almost our entire starting secondary. These injuries piling up are starting to make it feel like last season. Combine that with the fact that The Chiefs will be playing with their backs to the wall and desperate, I do think they win tonight and we lose. A loss to an AFC team isn't that harmful as it won't hurt us as much for playoff seeding. I'd love for us to win, but I really just want to get out of KC without any major injuries and get back at it, with a healthier team, next week and beyond. Quote
IdahoBert Posted October 12 Posted October 12 I had no idea that all the games were fixed, and all the refs were being paid to cheat. I think there should be an investigation into this. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted October 12 Author Posted October 12 So many Debbie Downers! A loss isn’t the end of the world, but we’re 4-1 for a reason. KC is 2-3 for a reason. This should be a good competitive game. FWIW I think going from Manu’a debut to Skip has a chance to be an upgrade. Skip is not Decker, but he should hold his own and not let Goff get killed. And they’re now missing their LT too. Quote
StrangeBird Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Looking forward to all the uncalled Jawaan Taylor false starts on passing downs. Quote
