lordstanley Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Struggle in the corner of the Leafs end leads to a borderline penalty called on the Wings with 5 minutes to go. Quote
lordstanley Posted October 12 Posted October 12 6-3, Wings win! We don’t have to give up on the season yet after all, lol. 1 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted October 12 Posted October 12 (edited) one of the worst goalie pulls you'll ever see there. Wings scored almost before he even got to the bench. Edited October 12 by gehringer_2 Quote
Shinzaki Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Much better effort tonight...Bernard-Docker wasca huge improvement over Hamonic. 1 Quote
Jason_R Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Watched the replay. Skaters were much improved but Talbot gave up two weak goals. Goaltending has to be better than it has been. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted October 12 Posted October 12 pet peeve: the curvier font numbers on the jerseys are harder to make out. Quote
buddha Posted October 12 Posted October 12 wings dominated that game. i havent seen them dominate the leafs like that in a long time. Quote

Kane was playing like he was 25. Fair question whether he can keep that up but it was working tonight. After the 1st I only remember one really bad breakdown, which came on a 4 on 4 but Talbot made the stop. Quote

At least Bernard-Docker is 25 and has a chance to improve with coaching. I'd rather go with JBD and live with the mistakes and see if he can improve the way Walman did. He'd then at least be a bottom two RH'ed pairing which is worth more than nothing. Which is what i think Hamonic is worth. Nothing. Less than nothing. Quote
1984Echoes Posted October 12 Posted October 12 And find me a top 4-LH'ed D'man so we can push Chiarot down to 3rd pairing. I don't think I would mind him at all as a 3rd pair D... But YEESH!!! 1st pair D with Seider? I hate Chiarot so much as the 1st pair LHD! I'd rather fly with AJ as 1st pair with Seider. Just my 2 cents. Quote
slothfacekilla Posted October 12 Author Posted October 12 How about that ASP usage so far? I don't think he's been on the ice for a goal against and they have him killing penalties in the dying minutes of a game where they're protecting the lead. It helps that he's with Edvinsson but still, very encouraging that they haven't really had to shelter him yet either (50/50 zone starts). Quote

lordstanley Posted October 13 Posted October 13 (edited) Matinee hockey in Toronto for the Wings on Canadian Thanksgiving. Just turning it now. Larkin scores late in the 1st on a brief 6 on 4 to give the Wings the lead. Edited October 13 by lordstanley Quote
lordstanley Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Despite a whopping 24-10 shots total in favour of the Leafs, the Wings actually lead the Leafs 1-0 after 2. Long way to go, but 20 minutes from a weekend home and home sweep. Quote
slothfacekilla Posted October 13 Author Posted October 13 Oof Raymond got hurt, big blow to the lineup Quote
