That or as an in addition too. They may change up their defensive scheme and play three safteys and rotate guys in the box and coverage. This would mean they such to a two LB set. O could see all three of Branch, Downs, and Joseph on the field at the same time.

Downs would be good value. He is more of a Brian Branch type than a CF'er though. If Branch comes back they could put one of them in the slot.

I think the Lions need to add speed to the defense though. I would like to see an edge that can't double as a three tech, but can actually play in space. And some faster LB'ers also.

In nearly every mock draft I've seen Blake Miller should be available at #17. Blake Miller seems like an absolute road grader, who loves the game of football. A Dan Campbell guy, who will run through walls for the love of the game. Now, mock drafts by analysts aren't a science by any means at all and teams boards look all kinds of different. Most mocks get an incredible amount of pick incorrect. But if there is a strong belief that Blake Miller will be available at pick 17, I see no need to trade up for Proctor and give up additional draft assets when we have so many needs. That's just my uneducated view though.

Every bit of news today is even more of a smokescreen than every bit of news leading up to today. 

I don’t expect Brad to trade up today. If he does it would probably be because a defensive player like Downs slides down to the teens.

I will say, Charlie Campbell has been pretty good at identifying who the Lions are interested in. He is definitely plugged into someone at Allen Park.

Charlie Campbell has us taking Keldric Faulk in his latest mock. I've had a feeling if they take a DE/Edge it will be Faulk. Id be happy with an Edge/DE in the first, but would prefer an offensive lineman, more specifically a tackle. If they take a DE/Edge, Faulk is not my first or second choice due to his production or lack thereof in college.

Styles, Delane, or even Reese may be targets too... Feels like Mauigoa should be too if he makes it past 10.

Yes from week 6 through 17 not counting week 9 or 11 he was the 10th rated pass blocking OT.

Brad doesn't stay put. I would prefer moving back and gathering more picks but that is easier said than done.
