Michigan needs two ADs. One for football and one for the rest of it.

No failed pizza men this time.

Might not be a man, at all.     I think there is a very good chance that Michigan will hire a woman for the job.

If they are serious about running a tight ship in the future, I wish them luck.  I really hope they do. But they may find themselves still congratulating themselves on the three recent NCAA championships Grasso noted from Warde's tenure for a long time. 🙈🙉🙊

its all about fundraising.  that's what ADs really do.

then hire competent people below you and let them do their jobs with accountability.

warde fell down on that last part.

very true. And the fact that the ink at the bottom line was pretty much always Black under Warde is why he always got the benefit of the doubt.

I realize this is mostly the wrong forum for this but:  Mike Duggan might have people pushing him to be the Michigan President.  That was on the side panel at Mgoblog.

Perhaps he can finally make Ann Arbor attractive to private equity.  (Just kidding).

Hmm. I don't think that is as outlandish as it may seem. He'd likely be effective. The tradition is to find someone with deep academic credentials, but honestly - that's not where a University Pres's competency needs to be. That's just to make the faculty feel that one of theirs is running the show.

If he ran a hospital that’s good enough.  [John U] Bacon always mentioned the hospital is what drives the University.
