this is now fully baked into just about every level of government and also into most people's personal morality:

Democrats must always follow the rules (of law, of decorum, of tradition, of stare decisis)

MAGA cannot be held to any standard (we will do what we want, whenever we want, don't even question us)

BURN THIS MUTHA DOWN

The question is whether they can get Democrat voters to just throw their hands up and quit, thus ceding permanent ruling power to the Trump regime, versus being energized and fighting against it. Honestly, I have no inclination on which one I would put my money on.

This is what happens when people don’t vote for Hillary Clinton.

If Hillary had won, Trump would have won in 2020.

No he wouldn’t. The Republicans would have seen him as a terrible candidate who blew their chance to defeat a weak Democrat. According to Michael Cohen, Trump only ran as a PR stunt because he was going broke, only Americans were dumb enough to elect him.

Get over it.  She lost an election which should have been an easy victory.  She campaigned poorly.  Her fault.

Trump definitely would have won, because he definitely would have run again and Hillary would have taken the blame for the virus.

Hillary lost while getting 3 million more votes than Trump.  The reason she lost is because of razor thin margins in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan.  Prior to the election, bitter Bernie bros were all over the internet telling us how they were going to vote third party and that's exactly what they did.  Take a few minutes to look at the historic rise in third party votes along with the margin of victory in those states and it becomes clear exactly who is to blame for Trump getting elected.

Which is why for at at least the past 50 years the winner take all distribution of the Electoral College needs to change.
I’m all for proportional splits.

TBH I haven’t done the math, but I think it’s more fair

To add some numbers, here are the third party voting totals for Michigan ......

2008 - 80,548

2012 - 51,136

2016 - 250,902

2020 - 85,410

2024 - 111,017

You'll see the same pattern if you look at Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.  As a reminder, Trump won Michigan in 2016 by 10,704 votes.

He may have run, but he probably doesn't make it through the primary a second time.

I wonder if they are happy with their protest votes? I wonder if there are any Florida voters who admit to voting for Ralph Nader?

So if she visited Michigan a couple more times, that changes everything? The voters are just blameless victims.

They're not blameless victims, but I guess they're moldable clay?

I do agree that in a free and fair election, contested democratically, the Democrats smoke the republicans off the field.

Republicans are to blame for the Republican president and republican policies.

There's a difference between people who voted for who the wanted to vote for and butthurt little babies who voted for someone out of spite.
