If El-Sayed wins the primary, I'm going to either leave it blank or write in a candidate. Am I just supposed to vote for whoever Democratic leadership tells me to vote for? He should campaign harder and win my vote. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted Thursday at 07:31 PM Posted Thursday at 07:31 PM (edited) has someone checked the flight logs to Katmandu? I guess they have put out that he's having a health issue. Apparently something that has taken his ability to speak. Edited Thursday at 07:35 PM by gehringer_2 Quote
romad1 Posted Friday at 10:51 AM Posted Friday at 10:51 AM Looks like the GOP has decided Collins is going to lose if they sent this guy to campaign for her Quote

It's simply mind-bloggling that a public official, placed in office by voters, is allowed to elude access by the public for so long and without reasonable explanation or discovery. Quote
romad1 Posted Friday at 03:51 PM Posted Friday at 03:51 PM Not to be too "both sides" but there is also a Dem lady in Texas who has gone missing from Congress. She's on the far side of her sell-by date so its probably illness related as well. Congressional staffs are gonna do that thing aren't they? Quote

This is an institutional rot issue. But there is one side more invested in keeping the rot as rotten as possible, and spoiler alert, it ain’t the Dems anymore. You may argue against that, and you’d be right in normal times. We are in post-normal times now, it’s time for a new normal, and if either party is still a viable force when that time comes, I believe it will be Democrats working toward that new normal. Quote
romad1 Posted yesterday at 02:51 PM Posted yesterday at 02:51 PM I like these numbers but they need to more a bit more to have the true dialectic effect of crushing the corrupt, racist, theocratic mess that the GOP has us in. So long as land aka money outvotes people we are going to have this problem. Reform Citizens United, end gerrymandering. 1 Quote

Yes, because more money from overseas will come in to create its own effects on these elections. They almost pulled that off in Virginia...oh wait, they didn't have to because Clarence Thomas has a rich friend who pays him and he's not from overseas. Quote

I won’t live to see it—maybe you will—but at some point when we have sufficiently recovered from this, they are going to do an autopsy on this era of America politics, and future adults educated in civics will be horrified for generations that we let it get like this and worse. Mr.TaterSalad Posted 40 minutes ago Posted 40 minutes ago Trump endorsing Paxton is a major victory for Democrats. Paxton still might beat Talarico, because it is Texas afterall. But this is about as big a gift as Democrats could get. Quote
