I acquired him for my fantasy team shortly before he charged the mound. 7 games for a position player is much worse than 7 days for a starting pitcher. That's 7 games he'll miss...about the same as a SP getting 35 games. He would miss around 7 starts. Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted Friday at 02:34 AM Posted Friday at 02:34 AM Baseball fights don’t excite me like they used to. Nothing really makes me laugh as hard as the Kyle Farnsworth perfect technique tackle or the classic Rod Allen video. Quote

tiger2022 Posted Friday at 09:37 AM Posted Friday at 09:37 AM Good thing he didn't try that on Odor. McRae would have been carted off on a stretcher. Plus McRae probably would have been hit with the ball straight in the face by the throw to 1st by a modern 2nd baseman. Quote

EDIt: He got seven and it was reduced to 5. Which for a pitcher might not even be one start. And TBH, the way Soler hangs over the plate, the pitch that hit him in the hands wasn't even that far inside. The whole "baseball as a weapon" thing seemed like overblown clickbait to me anyway. I don't think you could punch someone as hard WITH a baseball in your hand. If anything I think it minimized the blow. Quote

You'd have to have a massive hand to wrap completely around the baseball for it to be used as a weapon ala roll of quarters. Quote

tiger2022 Posted Saturday at 01:24 PM Posted Saturday at 01:24 PM RIP Mike Trout's career. You were amazing for a decade but alas, it's time to ride off into the sunset. Quote

He's not what he used to be, but it's not terrible. When I read that post, I assumed he had a serious injury. Edited 19 hours ago by Tiger337 Quote

He’s also playing centerfield, not merely doing DH tonight. But the whole thing about a contending team is kind of tragic. He’s sort of like Ernie Banks only injured all the time. And sadly, the Yankees just tied the game 10–10 with a two run homer in the bottom of the ninth. The Yankees have lost five in a row and were on the verge of losing six. Quote
Tiger337 Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Trout hit two home runs tonight. His wRC+ is up to 156. For what it's worth, he also leads the Majors in runs scored. 2 Quote
