monkeytargets39 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I feel like in an emergency it’d be Lee at SS for the next couple games Quote
CMRivdogs Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Interesting, https://awfulannouncing.com/mlb/directs-cleveland-guardians-adjust-broadcast-team.html?fbclid=IwdGRleARgXhdleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZA8xNzM4NDc2NDI2NzAzNzAAAR4TzjE-qm97Tn3D4qwmyvBlrerDDytJmjxn-FAMIkdRWR9njfv3UcF-kgxlqg_aem_dw-TPr_dfuwK-Dn_GcBXDw Quote A person familiar with the relationship between MLB Local Media and the Guardians tells Awful Announcing that the league is “encouraging the Cleveland announcer team to take more time off throughout the season to stay fresh over the course of the 162-game season,” and that the league and team “are aligned with this approach.” Just wondering if Bobby Scales moving to the TV broadcasts this week may be somewhat related... Kevin at third with Javy at SS and Wenceel in center with Javy SS. I don't think you and A.J. are that far off. with the roster reduced, everything converges Edited 19 hours ago by gehringer_2 Quote

Scales is a little better on TV than radio. Quote

I wonder if Hinch had checked how long ago it had been. Quote

oblong Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago I was in TN last week and tried to watch the tigers on my phone. Middle TN is apparently Reds territory. It’s a 4 hour drive past Cincy. It’s also Braves territory. Quote
chasfh Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago Not surprising since before the Braves, the Reds and Cardinals had basically the whole south carved up between them. Quote
oblong Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago My cousins, to the extent they are baseball fans, are Braves fans. I just didn't know a location could get dinged for two teams. Does every bit of space have to get assigned to someone? Should just simply be a radius around whatever stadium the team plays in. It wasn't a big deal but I just happened to have found myself with a few minutes of downtime and thought "Let me put that on and rest" Quote
CMRivdogs Posted 51 minutes ago Posted 51 minutes ago Washington and Baltimore share a large portion of Virginia and I think parts of North Carolina as their "Broadcast Market". I can't find a good map to show the territory, but Mama Googles says the teams share DC, Maryland,Virginia, Delaware, Central and Eastern North Carolina, South Central Pennsylvania (surprising because you'd think there would be a dividing line between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia) and West Virginia. The Nationals joined the MLB.com group this year so I'm not sure this still holds. They and Baltimore shared MSN as provider for their games Quote
