1984Echoes Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I'm not so certain about this "Kerry Carpenter leading off" idea... I'd rather have McGonigle-Torres 1-2 against righties and Torres-McG 1-2 against lefties. Not to put any pressure on the kid... But Carpenter can bat 6th-7th IMO... Just my 2 cents... Quote

Maybe my sticking with DirecTV Extra Innings with the free mlb.TV add-on was not the geriatric bad idea I hear people tell me it is. Quote
Tiger337 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago (edited) Despite all my bitching about modern TV, I appreciate what an amazing opening day that was. Historic game for McGonigle, 2 hits and a home run for Dingler, 2 hits for Keith, 6 SHO innings for Skubal. You can not ask for much more than that. Edited 12 hours ago by Tiger337 1 Quote

It's more expensive, but a lot easier. It wasn't seamless for me for various reasons, but much better that my roku/youtube combo. I had the combo last year too and it's hit or miss. Sometimes, the voice control gets me there fast. Other times, I go in circles. Quote
IdahoBert Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I’ve had great success with MLB TV over the years. Whenever I’ve had even a minor problem they fix it immediately. Surprisingly good customer service for a call center that probably has a lot of turnover. At least I’m assuming that is the case. Quote
lordstanley Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Only the 6th player since 1900 to get 4 hits in MLB debut on Opening Day. Quote
IdahoBert Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago It was honestly moving to see McGonigle in street clothes hugging his mom after the game. It collapses probably 16 years of life and striving into a single moment. 1 Quote

I was surprised at how easy it's been. $20 a month? No prolly. Waiting to see if the audio and video go CONSTANTLY out of sync, like with FanDuel. I watched on my computer today while at work, so I don't know what the TV experience will be like. Quote

I got it for this year and it was very smooth today Quote

So I would have to consider the marginal cost of $25 as being worth it, and I think it is. Quote

I dumped two ugly satellite dishes over the past two years. If I shift back to something convenient, it will be cable. By the way, speaking of baseball on tv/radio, what kind of satellite radio set up do you have? If I get it again, I want something as simple as possible. Quote
