Victor left last nights Spurs game with a rib injury.  I believe he needs two more games to be award eligible.  So it could open things up for Ausar if they end up sitting him the rest of the year.

It might not matter either way if you believe the national media.  It sounds like Chet will win if Victor is not eligible.

Speculating here.  They did this because Klintman had to have his deal guaranteed by June 30th.  With Smith not being guaranteed next year, they can trade him in July when teams are looking for an extra million or two in cap space to fit in another free agent.

Possible Smith just earned it.

Also possible this is a move to protect them in case Stewart's legs don't hold up in the playoffs.  

Basically, I have no clue.

I know technically Minnesota drafted Kliintman.  But it was one of those deals where they picked him for Detroit to be traded later on in July when the new season started.

The reason I brought it up.  The two picks after Klintman were Ajay Mitchell and Jaylen Wells.  The draft is a big guessing game after 10 or 15 spots, but still.

I'm pretty sure Minnesota is now locked into the 21st spot and can not move down.  They still mathematically can move up to #20.

I saw Deleterious' post on the G-League First Team. Has anyone watched the G League games that fanduel has had on this season?

I will generally put the game on but unless it's tight late in the game it's pretty much just background noise with an occasional two-minute watch followed by another 30 minutes of using it for background noise.

A little bit.  But mostly as background noise like you.

I wish they had sent Lanier down there a bit more this season.  He played 248 minutes this year which is 8 games at 30 MPG.  You need game time to work on what you practiced and 8 games in a calendar year is not cutting it.

How our playoff opponent will be determined.

9th place plays 10th place.  Loser is eliminated and winner goes into a new bracket.

7th plays 8th.  Winner moves into the playoffs as the 7th seed.  Loser goes into the new bracket.

Winner of 9/10 plays loser of 7/8 and that winner is the 8th seed.

Kind of what I expected.  Play tonight, probably take Charlotte off on Friday and get one more on Sunday against Indiana.

I suppose the doctors know best, but it seems silly for him to play at all. He's not eligible for awards no matter what at this point and if he doesn't play in the regular season that's another week and a half off before the playoffs start. He can work his way into shape in the first round.

Stew on the other hand hasn't played in forever and isn't dealing with an organ injury - I'd like to see him get a game in.

If the docs say there is no risk, then starting now and giving him the longer ramp up to playing full game minutes seems like a fair strategy - assuming they do limit his minutes. The paradox with Cade is that he's so much an end of game player you wonder what you'll get playing him 15 min. 🤔

I hope they lose by 50 tonight. Then I can bang my head on the wall when someone says they should start Jenkins and bring Cade off the bench in the playoffs.
