CaliforniaDreaming Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Might as well win the first game of this series...for Framber's sake. 1 Quote
theroundsquare Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago i got my picture taken with skeeter barnes once when he was manager of the lakeland tigers, circa 2000. sadly i have misplaced it 1 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I like the pitching matchups in this series. Flaherty may be a question mark but he's going up against Brady Singer and his 5.32 ERA. Quote

Unsurprisingly, that group seemed to have vacated after beer sales were done. Quote

casimir Posted 14 hours ago Author Posted 14 hours ago Well, and the thing about Jones’ slow start at the plate this season. I forget which pod it was, but one of them this week mentioned his rustiness to start the season given his time at the WBC with Korea and how that might have set him back a bit and not being able to get going. That probably is a variable that seems to be reasonable. Quote

That probably is a variable that seems to be reasonable. Plus we faced a crazy number of RH pitchers to start the season. When we finally faced a LH pitcher, he was sick with that stomach flu. I'm glad Hinch stuck with him, it woukda been easy to demote him. 1 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago It looks like nice weekend weather in Cincinnati this weekend. I tried to type Cincinnati in a George Kell Arkansas drawl but between not knowing how to spell the drawl and spellcheck, I gave up. 😆 Quote
IdahoBert Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago I’m watching the Reds pregame show and I hadn’t realized it - but they told me - that the Tigers are in first place 14–12 in the AL Central. Cleveland gets the nod due to alphabetical order and it’s identical 14–12 record, but the Tigers have scored more runs and allowed fewer so we win! Quote
IdahoBert Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago And it’s “Hall of Fame” weekend in Cincinnati as the Reds are inducting players into their own Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame. It’s interesting to see the fans of other teams and the solemn, enthusiastic dignity of their traditions and the Reds having a much longer tradition than any AL team do have quite a lineage. Quote
IdahoBert Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Also, the Reds are 16–9 but with a -2 run differential so they probably win some close games but sort of play like they’re a .500 team. But winning is what counts, just ask the Cleveland Indians. Quote
IdahoBert Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago According to Jason, the Reds are 10–0 in games decided by two or fewer run runs. Quote

romad1 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago My app says delay. What are the cool kids saying? Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago They’re doing rain delay questions but it looked like they’re prepping the field and it’s not raining at this point 1 Quote
Crazy Cat Gentleman Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago (edited) just got the "about to start" notification from the MLB app. (so first pitch in probably 20 min) Edited 12 hours ago by Crazy Cat Gentleman Quote

IdahoBert Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago A “weather delay” but no tarp on the field and it doesn’t seem to be raining. Oh well. It’s Southern Ohio. They know their area better than I do. Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Looks like we are getting ready to start Quote
