Better than nothing, but pro players are usually pretty optimistic about injuries.  Denial of weakness is a big part of their make-up.

They will both probably go on the IL..the Baez injury in paritcular doesn't seem to be a break..maybe just a high ankle sprain.

High ankle spains are debilitating and long lasting.  If that is what it is, he'll still be feeling it in late June and maybe longer than that.

it would be a little comical since Harris was just on ESPN saying more or less that Max wasn't going anywhere for a while as they had plans for what they wanted him to work on. Well, the best laid plans and all that....

I can see why since any significant injury could spell the end of a career. For established players it could be a loss of effectiveness that noticeably brings their performance down a notch, cost them future innings or games, or even earnings. For guys on the way up, it could be the death knell of their career at that moment since they are so replaceable.

Harris said the exact same thing on MLB Network yesterday.

actually that's probably the piece I saw. MLB net and ESPN BBTN always seem like the same place to me.
