Mr.TaterSalad Posted yesterday at 06:18 PM Posted yesterday at 06:18 PM Should Paul Reed start over Duren? I know he won't, but should he? Quote
Deleterious Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago You don't need to start Reed. But he has earned minutes in the rotation for sure, and sitting the first half again is not an option. I would have a quick hook for Duren though. If Duren struggles in the 1st quarter then Reed gets the bulk of the minutes and possibly starts the 2nd half. 1 Quote

I tend to agree whoever wins game 5 wins the series. But I wouldn’t be surprised to see the opposite occur. I guess the only thing that would surprise me is 3 lopsided games to finish this series out. Quote

Deleterious Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago His bigger obstacle will be the league not letting him move. After the Seattle debacle they are not letting another team leave a decent size market with good fan support over a stadium issue. 1 Quote

Agree about Austin and Nashville. I think London is off the table for now. They are trying to start that NBA Europe league and putting an NBA team in London would canalize that. If that league fails then London is back on the table. I think once they lock down the two expansion teams they will turn their attention to getting the Pelicans out of New Orleans. Mexico City has to be the first choice. Quote
Deleterious Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago My niece graduates from law school this weekend. That means I'm watching game 6 in a hotel. My girlfriend is taking bets with other family members on us getting kicked out when I yell at the TV. 2 Quote
Shinzaki Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago You expect a little drop off in the offense for a rim running big like Duren in the playoffs...but he's not doing ANYTHING. He's working on defense, but the rebounding and interior scoring have dried up completely. Now he's pressing...thinking too much and looks completely out of synch. I'm also not 100% convinced he's recovered from his knee issue at the ASB. He is costing himself a ton of money....that great chemistry with Cade has all but disappeared. I've gone from assuming Cade would force them into resigning him to wondering if Cade would be open to letting him walk. Mara won't be there when we pick...but Morez Johnson might be. He has that 7ft plus wingspan. Quote

I had to listen to Saturday's fourth quarter on the radio in the car making my way to our niece's grad party. Listening to Mahorn go ballistic about everything was pretty entertaining in a way. I forgot how much a potential deep run with the Pistons can be impacted by the spring graduations and my own work. Now, I have to mix in the changing TV venues on top of that. I'm going to have issues with game #6 as well for parts of it. Probably will be listening to a lot of it on the radio as well. 1 Quote

I know Duren is supposed to give you better defense and more rebounding ability. But so far in this series, and for most of the Orlando series, Duren hasn't given us anything off the glass and only limited defense and shot blocking. He's had what, 2 rebounds in the last 60 minutes of play or something crazy. Even if Reed doesn't give you the defense you'd want, with the way Duren's playing right now, he can't be any bigger of a liability. In-fact, I feel like he is more of a net positive because he is producing points. Quote
Betrayer Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago There's speculation (conspiracy theory maybe) that the reason Duren has an infinitely long leash is that his contract has already been worked out. They already had talks and committed to maxing him, so they have to force this and treat him like a max player. Contrast that with Ausar who can sneeze wrong in one game and get benched no matter how many times he saves this team while Duren can play 11 bad games in a row and not lose his playing time. Quote

Deleterious Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Who starts if Robinson can't go tonight? I would say LeVert, but he is also listed as questionable. Probably Jenkins. Quote
