Zakk_Wylde Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I'm embarrassed to say that it's literally been over a decade since the last game I was able to attend in person. Where is the best place to park these days? What kind of cost should I be budgeting for parking? "Back In My Day", I used to park in an underground lot below Grand Circus Park that was steps from the park and it only cost $5. Is that lot still around? I imagine the days of it costing $5 are long gone? Quote
oblong Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I parked there in the beginning of Comerica but once got stuck via a stalled vehicle so never again. The free and low cost parking around the stadium are pretty much gone with new construction going on. I now use the ParkWhiz app to get parking ahead of time as many of the lots are part of their system. You pay ahead of time and get a barcode to get in. If you want to try street parking over off of Cass north of 75 that's an option if you don't mind walking. It's usually in the $20-30 range. Quote

We had no idea why we couldn't get out, but it took forever and then it was fine, cars finally began moving and we drove up and all traffic was gone. Ever run into an issue where you have an issue getting to a lot that you grabbed a spot via the ParkWhiz app? That's been part of my hesitancy with it, that i'll pick a spot, be happy with the price and it'll end up where traffic is stupid or construction pushes everyone to one area that I have to go to for that spot. Whereas without it, if something like that is happening I could just go around and try to find an open lot a little further away and just enjoy the walk. Quote
