Beltre was everything right about baseball. Having fun while playing. Remember Miggy rubbing his head and watching Beltre getting all upset with him. Apparently, Miggy knew he didn't like his head rubbed....lmao 1 Quote

Umpires were worried the pitchers couldn't see the time clock. So they delayed the game a few times to move the on deck circle instead of doing it in between innings. And Jason wouldn't let it go..... Quote

Sports_Freak Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago No complaints about pinch hitting for Lee with the bases loaded. But I would have preferred Keith pinch hitting. But I'm sure Hinch had his reasons... Quote

There’s some long history of Beltre not liking being touched on the head before this Miggy exchange. I remember seeing a video compilation of it. Quote
IdahoBert Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Jason giving a peptalk about “you just wait till the Tigers are healthy“ so yeah, let’s just wait until Meadows gets back and is slamming doubles and home runs all over the park… of course I have a bad attitude right now, and everybody should rightfully tune me out. Andrus I think. But then there would be opposing players who would mess with him when they got to third base and he’d get so pissed. Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I feel like Tony Gwynn is the only player I’d trust to challenge a pitch more than McGonigle as a hitter Quote

Can you imagine the webz today if a team likw 1968 was running out a ss/3B combo batting .135 & .200? With OPS of .399 & .556? Yet somehow that team won 103 games. During the Year of the Pitcher, it was good to have the King Pitcher. Quote
