buddha Posted July 1 Posted July 1 theyre building a much different team. they got their secondary ballhandler (okorie), and theyve been acquiring tons of shooting and giving up defense. Quote
Shinzaki Posted July 1 Posted July 1 4 years nd 39mil is a lot...but would have liked to see them in the Dean wade chase Quote
Deleterious Posted July 1 Author Posted July 1 Keeping Robinson probably means they are done spending this summer, other than Duren. Quote
papalawrence Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Tobias did offer some intangibles, as coach JB often said he was their safety net. He seemed to perform best when others were struggling. They don't get past Orlando without him. Collins is younger and similarly skilled. Tobias is going for the most bank. Can't fault him for that. But I will miss seeing him in a Pistons uni Quote
Deleterious Posted July 1 Author Posted July 1 The sign and trade hard caps Detroit at the first apron. Not really a huge deal as they shouldn't come close to it this year. Quote

They've answered the call for shooting and maybe some creation if you count a rookie. But they're also going to be conducting a science experiment to see how many positions Ausar can guard at once. They've also kept the contracts pretty flexible and tradeable for the future. Not going to say I'm loving it, but these are smart moves when the players you want are refusing to come here and GMs don't want to trade the players you're after. Quote

Duren accepts their number or signs the qualifying offer and is an unrestricted free agent next summer. What's the amount of the QO? Quote

Deleterious Posted July 1 Author Posted July 1 Pistons should trick him. You wanted a salary with a 4 in front. You were mad when we offered one with a 3 in front. Sign the QO and get one with a 9 in front! Quote
papalawrence Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Excellent pick up for the spurs. He'll be the calming vet presence they need. And he will likely get a ring 2 Quote
Deleterious Posted July 1 Author Posted July 1 Reports that Duren had dinner with Scott Perry last night in Miami. Sort of pointless if Detroit isn't willing to engage Sacramento in trade talks. I think Duren needs a new agent Quote

Betrayer Posted July 1 Posted July 1 I mean, if the money is king to him he could be one of those guys that demands a trade and threatens to sit out. He doesn't have the Harden clout, but I'm sure Detroit doesn't want to bring back a player that absolutely doesn't want to be here. Or maybe I'm just hoping that's what happens. Duren + Lavert for Sabonis + 2 firsts. Flip the picks for something else. Quote
Deleterious Posted July 1 Author Posted July 1 Dallas making moves. Meanwhile, Sasser dumped for absolutely nothing it sounds like. Quote

buddha Posted July 2 Posted July 2 so we traded isaiah stewart and marcus sasser for okorie, john collins, and isaiah joe? so much for going big game hunting. i guess they expect ausar to be cade's batman. Quote
Deleterious Posted July 2 Author Posted July 2 I guess the Pelicans are just waiting to approach Duren about a sign and trade? Quote
