That is depressing to think about. I am looking for the Tigers to get healthy and get hot. It seems like teams usually don't get great prospects for rentals at the deadline. Teams like the Dodgers just give up their flawed prospects. Looking forward to another Thayron Liranzo and Trey Sweeney haul. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Sorry Casey, you didn't throw a no-hitter today, so you're gonna lose. Quote

Looking forward to another Thayron Liranzo and Trey Sweeney haul. I'm usually an optimist. I've posted here that I was predicting the playoffs in midAugust 2024 but this team is damned depressing. It's like they have no fight in them. Even the 119 loss team fought to the end. Quote

tiger2022 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Nearly 7 innings of 4 hit ball with no walks, allowing 2 runs and you have absolutely no chance to win a game as a starter on this team. Who can stop this offensive juggernaut? Aperently Joey Cantillo and 3 relievers. Edited 3 hours ago by tiger2022 Quote
tiger2022 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The good news for Casey is he'll get traded before the trade deadline to a team that can actually score occasionally. Bad news: the Tigers will probably get Trey Sweeney's brother in return. Quote

Are they a bad team that had a good stretch, or a good team that's having a bad stretch? Despite the pitching injuries they've had, the staff is managing to throw winnable games. I just don't have much confidence that adding one solid but not spectacular bat in Torres and one mediocre at best bat in Baez is any kind of slam dunk remedy for this offense. 1 Quote

gehringer_2 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Baseball makes no sense - Herring throws4 ball and one strike that could've have been challenged to Dingler and he homers. Riley Ks on an unchallenged ball one. Edited 2 hours ago by gehringer_2 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Tork did swing at the best pitch of that AB but was under it too much. Quote
