Start the bullpen for the first 3 innings. That way, we would know how many runs we need and we would also have more time to catch up. Think outside the box, AJ. Your bullpen blows games late and there's not enough innings to catch up. 😏😏

Bummer. That injury may be a while for Torres. Next up is activating JV for Sunday. If everyone stays healthy, Jones should get DFA. If....yeah, big if.

They just can't get to and keep a 6 or 7 man deep batting order. The finally get there with Colt waking up then they lose Torres. It's really hard to score runs with you are giving away a couple of innings out of every 9.

It's only Weds, we'll have another pitching injury by then.

I know it’s a part of baseball practice the way umpires do all of these dramatic performative moves when it’s a strike out and other things, but frankly it bores me.

I look upon umpires in the same vein as school resource officers who make a big deal about confiscating smart phones from sophomore girls.

I’m really over umpires being a part of the spectacle. But I guess it’s a part of tradition or something and even as their importance ebbs it’s here to stay.

It’ll be a pitcher barring any other injuries.  We are back to a 13/13 balance with Mize activated and Torres on the DL

So JV is starting on Sunday at home -  Father's Day.    An emotional return on a day where they will sell a lot of tickets.

If it doesn't go well does JV retire after this start?

No, he would just have another "injury." No way he would walk away from $15 million.

Heck, I think that ball was foul. I think the broadcast crew made a little bit bigger deal out of it than necessary. The ump had a really really good view of it even though the guys in the booth were making a big deal about not having to see a white puff or anything from the line. It looked foul to me.
