Sports_Freak Posted Saturday at 12:41 PM Posted Saturday at 12:41 PM Its still August and only a matter of time until we lead the division. Probably in September. We still have to play the teams with the best record in each league, back to back. Can you imagine if Skubal lines up to pitch in Detroit? Uhhhh...yes, please. Quote

Can you imagine the Tigers winning the World Series this season and Skubal and Mize both picking up their World Series rings next season when their new teams play in Detroit as the visitor? 1 Quote

Skubal starts tomorrow and if you merely count off every five Dodgers games, he would line up to start the Friday night game in Detroit. So even if they push him back a day or even two for a breather, he should line up for the series. So, I am going to put the odds at 80%. Quote

JV was always welcomed as the returning hero. Quote

IdahoBert Posted Saturday at 05:01 PM Posted Saturday at 05:01 PM It’s been quite a ride the last few days… I’m actually kind of wrung out. I know that, technically, I’m supposed to be really excited about the playoffs because that’s what all the commentary from various broadcasts - our’s as well as the national media - is about. But I am honestly more focused on a future I consider more bright and fascinating than present outcomes and results. I just like having good baseball to follow day-to-day. Before long we will be enduring a winter of our discontent with no baseball at all, as well as an uncertain future how about 2027. Whatever happens, GO TIGERS! 1 Quote
IdahoBert Posted Saturday at 05:13 PM Posted Saturday at 05:13 PM First pitch double. Man, the southside characters aren’t going down without a fight. Quote

IdahoBert Posted Saturday at 05:18 PM Posted Saturday at 05:18 PM I wonder if Jake will get a standing ovation? Quote
IdahoBert Posted Saturday at 05:19 PM Posted Saturday at 05:19 PM I thought that getting out of this without at least one run being scored would be a miracle and yes, a miracle did not occur. Quote
lordstanley Posted Saturday at 05:21 PM Posted Saturday at 05:21 PM Melton was one strike away from getting out of it unscathed but a ground ball gets through to make it 1-0. Still a dangerous situation Quote
NorthWoods Posted Saturday at 05:25 PM Posted Saturday at 05:25 PM All this sappy hugging needs to end. Jake is now the enemy. A White Sucks. Kidding.....I'd say hi too. Quote
NorthWoods Posted Saturday at 05:27 PM Posted Saturday at 05:27 PM Yikes!! Didn't realize Dingler was 0-23....... Quote
lordstanley Posted Saturday at 05:28 PM Posted Saturday at 05:28 PM Lee’s squibber hugs the line and stays fair. That’s good groundskeeping. Quote
