Anytime I just have the radio on, and I happen to look up something online that has a video attached to it, the car hijacks the phone, and the video plays over the speakers. Right now I’m in a car wash, and I want to watch YouTube videos in the lobby while I’m waiting, but because the car is on, it keeps hijacking and re-hijacking the phone over and over, so I can’t use it unless I forget the car’s WiFi network entirely. A first world pain of the first order. so this is something my new car does as well (well a few months old and now the things that bother me are actually starting to bother...). And it's a bit confusing because the phone actually has 3 separate connections to the car. My phone is not set to connect to the car's WIF but It has one bluetooth for 'phone as a key' and a second bluetooth for phone integration and car play. But I found that I can disable car play as separate toggle from the BT control screen on the phone and leave the other two services intact. There does not seem to be any way to disconnect or prevent car play from connecting from the car's side if it's enabled on the phone. Edited August 12 by gehringer_2 Quote

Or I should say subtracting them because they aren't adding any space, just taking lanes off an already under under-engineered road net. So the upshot is that the bike lanes have become the parking lots for every tree trimmer, utility truck, construction crew, and amazon delivery vehicle working in town. And just to make it the more the merrier, on a bunch of the streets with bike lanes the trash bins get put in them for pickup and once the garbage trucks dump them and leave them all over the place haphazardly, you get to play bicycle slalom on your way to where you're going once a week. Brilliance all around. That seems to be the problem in just about every city or town these days. Especially if there is a University nearby 1 Quote
chasfh Posted Friday at 10:06 PM Posted Friday at 10:06 PM Why do all your appliances like your refrigerator decide to break down at 6 PM on Friday? Quote

Fridges used to run forever. You'd want a new on because it had rusted out or all the shelves had broken. Now you get 5yrs out of one and you're feeling lucky. Quote

By way of comparison, they one that was in the house when we bought it went 18 years, the only thing wrong with it being it was too small inside. Corporatons are making products worse on purpose. There’s another subforum to discuss exactly why. Edited Saturday at 01:51 AM by chasfh Quote
CMRivdogs Posted Saturday at 01:49 AM Posted Saturday at 01:49 AM I'm feeling that way about washers. 6 years in and the thing goes out of sync on the spin cycle. Doesn't matter how we try to balance the load, 3 minutes in and BAM< BAM< BAM Quote
