  1. Past hour
  2. has someone checked the flight logs to Katmandu?
  3. I have enjoyed reading this thread more than the game thread today.
  4. I'm pretty sure it was Ch 7 "ActionNews" that ran the spots but I've forgotten the target - could have been when WWJ/WDIV hired Mort Crim?
  5. pitching development has been a problem.
  6. Doesn’t feel like we’ve really developed any pitching under Harris though. The entire minor leagues are just littered with no-upside pitchers at every level and it spills onto the 40-man roster when we end up with inevitable injuries.
  7. I can't really answer that...probably not much.
  8. Any ones not on a 40-man could still play
  9. Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know when you’re going to open in it and see that someone took a bite of that nasty chocolate covered orange cream and then put it back in the box like nobody else would notice.
  10. Hmm, looks like a good time to take a walk in the neighborhood. 🙁
  11. 12 playoff games. 6 single digit scores, 6 double digit scores. High score of 15.
  12. Side question... if when there's a lock out for much or all of 2027, will the minor leagues still play?
  13. It’s a new day, with new ways to mess things up. Like the strike zone. And safe/out calls.
  14. You don’t really think Hinch is the problem, do you?
  15. Agree, mixed bag. Some hits. Some misses. We thought the minors was going in the right direction. I don’t know, is it? How much of the pitching lack of health fall on Harris’ responsibility?
  16. Carpy is always hurt and his performance is never complete for a full season.
  17. I feel like Carpenter as a DH in Yankee Stadium would hit 50-60 HRs.
  18. I completely agree with you on the platoon and outlier seasons. I guess the question is did they lazily sit on these players without looking to move them? Could they move them or did other teams see how these were outlier seasons? I wonder specifically about Carpenter. If a team has much of its offense dependent upon a guy that is deployed only in a platoon, that’s probably a guy to move on from. But then you throw in his defense, his lack of durability, maybe there wasn’t much of a market for him.
  19. He has been a mixed bag IMO. Ownership thinks he is good.
  20. They don't have much swing and miss in the bullpen..has never been a thing with Harris. I have no idea why.
  21. Well ya if they were using that to make the pick themselves, but they don't have that ammo for a trade to acquire anybody either! If you don't have prospects to deal you're probably hoping people want your picks. Their center options in free agency are....Malkin and Boone Jenner? They wouldn't be able to afford either them if they want to fill out their roster too. Malkin is going back to Pitt anyways if he doesn't retire. So Jenner and....Jack Roslivic? Roslivic is projected to eat up almost half of their available cap space!
