Buffalo will probably lose Tuch to FA. They have a surplus of LHD (Byram, Samuelsson and Power) that would fit in our top 4. Cat for Power and Noah Ostlund or Konsta Helenius.

As of today, I believe that would be the route most likely to get them where they want to go in the end, but I'm very doubtful Yzerman is willing to admit he should reboot. I think the most likely outcome is they will try to replace like with like and work a deal that brings another established center back. Status Quo

I can see it being fudged some, and I can see evaluators being pretty liberal. But as an overall issue politically, *assuming* nothing outright illegal was done, how big a political issue is a $60k stipend for a guy that did 4 tours under fire? Could be I suppose. If you ask me they all deserve at least that level. Which still doesn't mean Platner may not still be a creep, just not sure that anything related to his military service is a particularly fruitful line of attack against him.

41 goals, 40 assists, and 81 points overall. They'd be happy with who they draft at #2 producing 80 points or higher. 80 point plus players don't grow on trees. He'd be a perfect compliment at the wing for Celibrini. The only reason I'm trading DeBrincat is because he doesn't fit the timeline for rebuilding the rebuild. We're going to need to tank for the next few years and there's no sense wasting his prime here and risking the chance of being more competitive than we should.
