  1. Past hour
  2. Yes. It's about pitching to the batters weakness, and how well you execute that. It also helps when you had the kind of stuff Koufax offered up there. 🙂 They know what guys can hit and can't hit. When they put it in the right location, they don't get enough of the ball to bang down the walls. Weak grounders and easy pop-ups is the best they can do. Or you can just make them look silly like he could. Besides, good hitters fail 7 of 10 times. Sometimes it's all about how ugly it was the last time you got out. 🙂 We have one of those here. Mr. Skubal. This guy is a treat to watch and has some fantastic stuff. Some guys are just that dominate. He is one of them.
  3. Today
  4. I'll miss the end of this game with the Piston playoffs starting at 6:30. With the Boston SP going against our LH hitters, it may be ugly. Maybe Lee will get another chance? Hope he's settled down and the game slows down for him.
  5. I cleaned it up for a mixed crowd. People get offended SO easily. .lol
  6. I just thought he had to prove he belonged. He did. Spring stats matter...😅
  7. You learn something new everyday. All my life, people I've known had that saying wrong.
  8. I know I was going to mention that I would miss this game because it would interfere with my Sunday afternoon walk with one of my best buds and now I think I will be able to follow it.
  9. I am so glad you remembered this moment.
  10. Still kind’ve debatable. I mean, has he won any awards yet? How playoff games has he won?
  11. Looks like the time has changed for this game from 1:30 to 4:30 per the MLB icon on my mobiular telephone.
  12. I agree. While I thik they wouldn't get a lot for him in a trade, I do not think he would be easily replaced.
  13. I agree that he probably won't age well, and I wouldn't sign him to an extension. But to think his production will be easily replaced is wishful thinking.
  14. I remember your opinion of McGonigle was not very good in Spring training. You didn't think he was ready.
  15. In theaters this summer… a brand-new adventure in horror… The Porcine Centipede.
  16. yes, he is a good hitter when he gets going, but he has peaked as a fielder, so he's going to have to hit a lot to retain his value. He is stiff and injury prone and seems like someone who will not age well which is one of the main reasons I think he wouldn't bring much back in a trade.
  17. He isnt a typical rookie. Its fine, we just dont agree that playing in front of 6000 people in Toledo is the same as playing in front of 35,000 people at Fenway Park. Opinions are like noses, everyone has one. 😆
  18. I don't know that Greene is a star. But his bat is important and will not be that easy to replace. 119 wRC+ as a 22-year old, 134 as a 23-year old, and 145 through 100 games last year. Everyone remembers the last 60 games when he slumped, but the 260 games before that he definitely performed at an All-Star level. I'm surprised at how quickly this board has turned against. He wouldn't be the first guy to suffer through a 2-3 month slump but then right the ship in a big way. Way too early to give up the on the guy.
  19. McGonigle’s first ML game was in San Diego in front of 45,000 fans. He had 4 hits.
  20. Jalen Johnson is not a good defender.
  21. Yeah, vs Minnesota of all teams too
  22. Yesterday
  23. By the way, we are in a three-way tie with Minnesota and Cleveland for first place at 11–10.
  24. Holy heck, 10 earned runs in 1.2 innings?
