I think the only deal that could get done would be a straight Captain flip of Larkin for Tkchuck.
-
It's not the same, but I think the left cried wolf too many times and now that we have a real problem, not enough people take it seriously. They think it's still Clinton vs Bush.
-
Given the fact that people are increasingly pointing fingers at them and are identifying them with Trump and his administration, my point stands.
-
What they don't want is for everybody to start pointing fingers at them instead.

Question: Can Derrick Moore turn into Maxx Crosby 2.0?
1984Echoes replied to 1984Echoes's topic in Detroit Lions
Yaya Diaby: 6'4" 270, decent but not great pass-rusher. Maxx Crosby: 6'5" 255, nasty, aggressive mauler as a pass-rusher, not quite as good as an edge setter. Averages 10 sacks per year, 38 QB pressures per year, 3 passes defensed per year. Derrick Moore: 6'4" 255, nasty, aggressive mauler as a pass-rusher, not quite as good as an edge setter. Had 10 sacks last year with UM in 12 games, and 41 QB pressures and 3 PD's. Moore may not "become" Maxx Crosby 2.0... but I think his play "style" is far more similar to Crosby than anyone else. Including Diaby. I'm placing my expectations on DM at Maxx Crosby 2.0. Sorry if some people on here get upset by that. -
1000%. Tired of having to pretend that the behavior observed out of both sides of the political spectrum with my own eyes and ears are the same. It just isn't.

Tracey has been an utter POS for a long, long time. That this alleged fight stemmed from his own Epstein denialism is a good indicator of just how *much* of a POS he is.

4/27/26 8:00PM RD1 GM4 Pistons (1-2) @ Magic (2-1)
Hongbit replied to Tigeraholic1's topic in Detroit Pistons
Absolutely the best possible news we could get. -
I would do that deal in a heartbeat (make the 2027 1st top 5 protected though) but i don’t think Ottawa would. They’d want an established player, likely Edvinsson.
-
I am less impressed with the A Pox On Both Their Houses position than ever before. Not only is it wholly inaccurate at those time, it actually lets the right off the hook for their obvious iniquity by equivocating the left to the same degree.
-
-
I think The Big Club would much more prefer it if those who disapproved of Donald Trump would just shut up about it.
-
LOL, studies have shown that the right is more violent, but you can't deny that us versus them among lower classes is exactly what The Big Club wants.
-
I'm sorry, but treating the current breakdown in American political culture and the violent undertones of it as being completely symmetrical is a bunch of hooey. There is one party that is led by a leader that sicced a mob on the capitol, there is one party that is led by a leader that blanket pardoned all of the people involved, has legitimized groups like the Proud Boys, the Oath Keepers, etc. I understand the tendency to want to see things from both sides and all.... but on this particular subject, it's wildly asymmetrical and oughtta be treated as such. And the fact that we treat "both sides" as if they are "the same" on this only emboldens more bad behavior.
-
The right hates the left and thinks it is dangerous. The left hates the right and thinks it is dangerous. This is a perfect scenario for The Big Club and the politicians which support it.
-
Still too many people buying Teslas and thinking its ok.

Grading the Detroit Lions 2023 Draft
RedRamage replied to Motor City Sonics's topic in Detroit Lions
If either or both of the 3rd rounders were more than complete duds I'd agree that it's an A or even A+ draft. I get where both of you are coming from: MB: You got FOUR A+ players... how can this be anything other than a spectacular, A+ draft? MCS: You got ZERO production out of TWO 3rd round picks. Can't give a perfect score for a draft with that. On one hand this has to be one of the best drafts by any team in terms of star players acquired. All four of those players could end up being HOF players. And yet... it could have been more. -
Your point is... what exactly? Ridiculing these guys as a bunch of weirdos isn't a downplay of a threat that they present. But they're also deeply despised right now in the broader culture, much more than they were in November 2024. And they oughtta be treated accordingly.
-
They sure do. But then, the Nazis sounded like a bunch of weirdos for their first ten years, too.

Grading the Detroit Lions 2023 Draft
RedRamage replied to Motor City Sonics's topic in Detroit Lions
Haven't read the whole thread so maybe others have already said this, but I think you're being too hard to on the 5th & 7th round picks. By the time you're hitting the late rounds of the draft you're getting backup level players. Sorsdal has been a backup player. How do you rate players taken in the 5th, 6th, or 7th rounds? Do you rate them based on the product of the player himself? Or do you rate it based on the the expected value at that pick? If you rate it based on the player himself, then sure... a D, maybe D+. But then you need to weight that grade when looking at the draft. A bad grade in the 5th round should count a LOT less than a bad grade in the 2nd round. Personally I think when you're grading a draft you're grading the Front Office, not the players. So I think it's far more fair to grade based on expected value. In this sense I expect a solid backup player in the 5th round... Sorsdal has maybe been a bit under "solid backup," so maybe a B+ grade for the value we got from that position. In the same way 7th rounders are people I'm generally happy to see actually make the team and play in a handful of games. I'd give a C+ grade on the Green pick. -
They've been saying variations of this **** for 10 years now.... and they still sound like a bunch of weirdos every time they say it.

This year’s first is not the only asset available and it certainly wouldn’t be enough. Would it take Danielson, Bear, and a 2027 first to be competitive? Would it be worth it? I’d rather stay on the bubble for another year that give up those assets. And he probably ends up in Florida anyway. But Stevie needs to fix the top-six forward hole that is throwing everything out of whack and there aren’t a lot of options.
-
Yup, this was always the direction they’ve wanted to go in. All they need is the right match to ignite the gasoline.

He gets his ballroom and he’ll never have to go out and sully himself by having to be around the Great Unwashed ever again. Real populist Man of the People ****.

Maybe Dana Bash can ask Senator Scott to "tone down the rhetoric"
