BEGIN RANT- Red Sox fans are upset that the 2–7 start of the 2026 season is the worst start in Red Sox history for the first nine games. I’m going to restrain myself from saying something profane like “Oh my heck, sit on a tack you silly persons!” But if that’s the worst it’s been in the first nine games in 126 years I think they may want to reconsider this impertinent complaint. -END RANT

I'm surprised at Seabold. I thought for sure he would be a gas can coming in. But he's been really good.

Kevin got no hits, but at least he walked twice. Since I didn’t really get to watch much of this game, I can’t attest to his play in the field.

He’s a professional.

Yeah, I’m with you on this. The runs he gave up today were kind of bad luck as it was mainly on his fielding error (which helped Montero’s ERA but not his own, which I may have never seen before). He did give up the one sharp single, but he also got the last seven guys he faced out, including three swinging strikeouts. This outing didn’t hurt his standing.

Are they still doing their podcast? It was a bit fluffy, but always on the lookout for Tigers content.

I haven’t given up on De Jesus, partially because he’s one of the few LHers in the pen. And I think he might be better than Hurter.

It’s becoming quickly apparent that Seabold, De Jesus and Anderson ain’t it.

I know we don’t love the idea of Seabold in this situation—bases loaded, one out, up one in the eighth—but this is the time to see whether he can handle it.
