  1. It would bother me. The Tigers need to get away from that player profile- no walks and no plus skills. Try something else.

  2. Every two years I have a new “system” to learn culturally. Then I have to fit my job to that for reviews. I agree totally it’s bullshit. here you go

  3. Hahahaha. Robbed of an obvious TD and fumbled at the goal line.

  4. Speaking only for myself, I became a big fan of Alice Cooper in seventh grade, based only on hearing the songs on the radio. TV almost never played any hard rock back then, so there was no way I would have seen the schtick. I probably saw a couple of pictures in Creem or Circus, but I’ve always hated scary movies, so that wouldn’t have attracted me anyway.

  5. Cronenworth would be the guy I'd have an interest in. Plop him down at 2B.

  6. no because they have determined what the public is willing to pay for products regardless of who eventually gets that money, either the business or CC company. It’s like the relationship between player salaries and ticket prices. If an NBA teams payroll was $20M the prices of tickets wouldn’t be different

  10. Not at all. it's funny. I guess once you work for a corporation once, there shouldn't be any mystery. The only reason a business exists is to part you from your money while giving up as little in return as possible. That is the basic set up, no-one should ever be surprised by that. Your job as a consumer is to do everything you can to pit every business you can against each other so you can get as much for your money as you can. Seller/buyer. It's just your basic predator/prey relationship the species has been dealing with for 100000 yrs cast into constantly evolving settings. The only thing that surprises me is when people don't get it. My SO has this eternal optimism that some-one out there selling something really wants to give her something for free. I've tried to persuade her otherwise over the years, and she's been disappointed by enough sales come-ons at this point to know better herself --- makes no difference. Something in human nature I guess.

  11. if free agents are so overly concerned with the tigers' supposed poor reputation for disorganization, then why did baez and erod sign here? im not buying that. free agents go where the money is for the most part. baseball teams are not the usual corporate structures when it comes to attracting a talented workforce. free agents are going to go where they can play and where they can get paid. the idea that they are really concerned with the structure of an organization is far fetched, imo. that's offseason slow news day talk.

  12. They had a sign at the register saying they would be able to lower prices if customers paid by cash and another sign saying cash onlyh The store has been in operation since I was a kid, although the ownership has changed a few times. I have seen some cash only stores in small town NH, not in Massachusetts before.

  16. yup. Pull back to 50,000 feet and you find the S&P will open 2023 about 18% higher than it opened 2020. That's still about 5.5% per annum compounded. That big bubble in between was mostly froth generated by pandemic money sloshing around with no-where else to go.
