  1. But the soccer style mid season tournament ship, yo.
  2. Well, but inherited runners are not all the same. Runner on 3rd with none out isn’t quite like runner on 1st with two outs. One thing that I’m curious about and I don’t even know if the numerals are there to suggest anything about it. Are RP these days more apt to enter a game at the beginning of the inning rather than after the 1st batter of the inning? It seems likely, but I don’t know for sure. And how does that stack up to previous years/eras?
  3. I remember him holding his hand after a play chasing down a rebound and then kind of forgot about him after that. I guess he wasn’t faking it for a call.
  4. How many games suspended for Jackson getting his mouth in the way of James’ hand?
  5. This seems to be the best thing lately. It seems like in the few and far opportunities where it’s close in the second half, Cunningham has been taking more one on one drives and/or jumpers.
  6. Rome is a hack. Out.
  7. Yup, and punter bank account isn't quite what know-it-all QB bank account is.
  8. In terms of GS, you are probably correct, and I suppose that is the point of the chart. But it just stuck out to me as questionable.
  9. I don't know how much I would believe in the number of relief appearances assigned to guys like Maeda, Gipson-Long, and Flores.
  10. Hanging chads are making a comeback, eh?
  11. Sure, that'd be great once the Pistons get Thompson surrounded by the kind of scoring talent that Golden State has.
  12. The Jazzes chose to not play defense as well. In fact, this was the highest scoring total for the Pistons in Salt Lake City in the history of ever.
  13. I thought hugging would’ve slowed down after COVID, but I guess I was wrong.
  14. I’ll never look at Zenobia Shriners in the little cars in a parade the same way going forward.
  15. The problem for the Pistons is that they can’t not turn the ball over. Then the next problem, if they haven’t turned the ball over, is the shooting. Seems a bad combo when the defense sucks, too.
  16. At one point, BSD showed a graphic about points off of turnovers, Rockets 27 and Pistons 5. So, I guess ball control isn’t a resolution for 2024.
  17. It’s feasible to see another losing streak developing on this road trip. Looking at 0-4 before returning home (unless the NBA gives away another home game) vs the Kings, Spurs, then Rockets. Heck, looking at January, they have the Spurs, Wizards, and Hornets at home which are likely they’re most winnable games. That’s not to assume that they will win any of those. So, I think it will be interesting to see if Sasser and Thompson get some more run tonight now that they’ve gotten that win. No doubt that’s why Sasser lost minutes, although I disagree with the rationale.
  18. The Tigers should sue the scout.
  19. I don’t know. What was Del’s Piston prediction for this season?
  20. That’d be addition by subtraction.
  21. I doubt there’s one magic solution. But, I think changing the window along with the playoffs will help keep players on the field. Have we seen a healthy junior that’s draft ready sit out a conference championship yet? I can’t think of who, but perhaps it’s happened.
  22. USC and UCLA not following the script. They’ll learn in due time.
  23. One easy fix is changing the transfer portal window until after the bowls/playoffs. But I think that should also apply to coaches.
