Yes about his shooting. But he is in his 4th season and he still has his moments on the floor where you wonder what in the world he was thinking about. For example, there are times when he wants to show off the handles that he ain't got. -

Well, let's consider that Cunningham was out for basically all of Ivey's season and then Williams has goofy lineups and playing time allocations earlier this season. So, it easy to see how it might have taken a while for them to gel on the court. Ivey's quickness and speed can be a heck of an asset, but I think he needs to learn to reign it in more. Those assets could serve well in college where the opposition is slower than the pros. But he's now up against better opposition, better athletes. Using that athleticism as a basketball player, being more of a basketball player than an athlete. I think he's been getting better at it lately, but there are still times where he gets a little out of control. -

You're welcome. Thankfully I was able to watch it this morning without knowing what happened. -
Can’t put it any better than this. Hopefully he’s on the radar within the context of a contractual terms that you have suggested. The short term expense isn’t a big deal and a short term deal is hardly blocking anyone that with only 209 PAs at AA if we’re looking at only one prospect. Put another way, does anyone want to place any numerical value on the odds of both Keith and Jung firing on enough of all cylinders in MLB this season?

I was just wondering this. Guaranteed victory tonight because I won’t be able to watch it and someone will tell me about it before I can watch the recording. -
The OSU defense did well until the 2 TD drives. Can’t complain about them. OSU literally had Brown out there limping as a WR while they wildcatted. The kid needed his ankle looked at, and they kept him in the game. Now, if he wanted in the game, that’s one thing. But he’s pretty much on one leg, Mizzou knows who is going to get the ball in those circumstances. What’s the point of having Brown out there? That’s not the toughness that Day ranted about. That’s malfeasance as a football coach.

Welcome to the club, blankity blank blank. 😆

I don’t know. This game was an absolute embarrassment. This is a coach that preached toughness after the Notre Dame game, but cowered last night because they had a backup quarterback in the game. He really thought they could ride Henderson’s legs to victory for over a half of football? Meanwhile, Henderson’s two backups are sitting off on the sideline injured and in the transfer portal. Oh, and Henderson has shown a proclivity to get dinged up in the past. Speaking of transfer portal, Day has no plans to go get a QB. He wants to have competition this spring. Hey, that’s great. One of the QBs was injured last night, and the other, well, I guess they didn’t trust him to throw a football until Mizzou had 15 in the box to stop Henderson. Or, in other words, Kienholz, who had gotten a few game reps earlier this season, hadn’t been coached for this game. But why not? Why not start the competition in the practices leading up to this game? Sure didn’t look like the coaching staff was ready to do anything with him. Simply terrible and inexcusable. Heck, they had Brown out there on one leg for a few plays as a decoy at the numbers while they tried wildcat? What in the flippity flip was that? Were they getting Kienholz out of the stands and dressed for the game? And that log goes onto the fire of the 3 game losing streak.

False. It’s his 2nd string QB for a month that was obviously not prepared at all to take any snaps. And the offensive line didn’t do anyone any favors, either. Bad combination, no excuse for any of it.

I agree 3B is the opportunity. But I’m not sure more than 3 seasons for Chapman is wise.

Yeah, that’s possible. The bench gets a little longer in some games, but the score differential might remain stagnant. -
And in addition to the bat not handling 1B/DH, they have Torkelson at 1B and other designs for DH. The playing time on the projections is interesting. Keith with only slightly more PAs than Jung even though popular theory is Jung will be in Toledo for a time. 43 PAs is about, what 2 or 3 weeks? And I assume that Keith is slotted at 2B and Jung at 3B, unlike McKinstry who will probably move around a bit.

I wish I had one of those.

OK, that's pretty clever.

Oh, I'm not saying it'd be a wise move by San Francisco, definitely not by itself. But they've allegedly been ready to spend, yet can't find anyone that will take their money. So I can see a move just to make a move.

Hayes over Sasser because they are chasing that next win. I don't agree with it, but that's what it is. They should have at least two of Cunningham, Ivey, and Bogdanovich out on the floor at all times. The "hockey line shift" was mentioned on the broadcast last night in the 1st. This is just an awful situation all around. I can't believe some of us were actually thinking they could flirt with the play in (self included) and here we are today looking a team that is somehow worse than last season. -
I would hope Harris could find a GM that would be as in love with Gipson-Long as some of the Tiger fan base seems to be.
-
That's exactly what I see with Chapman. San Francisco signs him to essentially what he is looking for. I think I saw 6/$150K as a projection somewheres on the interwebs.
-
Has he been associated with any teams so far this offseason? I would think the longer he goes unsigned, the fewer years he could command on a deal. I'm not as confident as others in Keith and Jung hitting the ground running enough to make an impact this season. Chapman would clearly be an upgrade to the lineup and defensively. And if he were to sign, that would free up Vierling to pretty much handle OF duties, specifically backup CF. I'd only go 3 years, but doubt that'd be something he'd settle for right now. He'll be 31 at the end of April and he's a Boras client. If anything, maybe if he's available around the beginning of camp, maybe he'd do a shorter multi year deal with an early player opt out? I don't know, seems unlikely it would come to that for him.

He still seems to want to ramp up too much at high speed too often. I think he's been better at dialing that in lately, but that's only been on the offense. He's still unable to use that speed to his advantage on the defensive side. To his credit, he was the sole offensive rebounder in the paint a few times late in the game and did his best to keep the ball in possession. -

Thompson would fill an early Rodman as starter role very well, except for the fact that there isn't enough offense around him like Rodman had. Rodman had the ability to weave into an already made unit of Thomas, Dumars, Laimbeer, Dantley/Aguirre (although he was in a bit of a rotation with this spot). This current team is not that at all. -

There’s probably some truth to that.
