I don't know if this is true, but it gave me a chuckle. LeBron James' career averages are currently 27/7/7. He's never had a 27/7/7 game.

Yup, that should be the starting 5. The rest of the regular rotation is filled in with Sasser, Grimes, Stewart, and I guess one of Fournier/Brown. Fournier has the proven 3 which could stretch the floor. Brown's 3% has gotten better over the years and is the younger player, so maybe him rather than Fournier?

Yeah, it does say that in the fine print, doesn't it? They need to include one sideburn, too. It always seemed like one sideburn stopped around his ear and the other one went two inches below the ear. If BSD does interview someone with the garb on, I hope they eat through the interview. -

It was more the colors that caught my attention. I thought we all agreed that pitcher wins and fielding percentage were the bees' knees. -

I thought that was more going on the offensive than the defensive, but that's just me. -
Not that a 16 footer is equivalent to a free throw, but he's got the chops from the line. Those 3Ps are probably end of clock heaves. So essentially all but 5% of his FG attempts are 10 feet and in.

Split squad doubleheader tomorrow, both night games. I believe one of the games is on Bally Sports Extra. -

Tell you what, let’s try this. Give me $100 million and then try pissing me off. I’ll let you know if it works. -
It’s probably a little more validated than Rafael Palmiero’s gold glove award. But do we know how the defensive awards are handled for the minor leagues?

Meanwhile, down here in reality…. -
"That’s if he sticks at second base. Jung was a surprise Rawlings Minor League Gold Glove winner given his pre-Draft reputation, but he impressed Tigers officials and Minor League managers with his ability to handle what’s hit to him with his good hands. However, his lack of range limits his defensive ceiling up the middle, and his trial at third coincided with Colt Keith getting looks at the keystone. Jung’s offensive ability is too good to ignore, and should he keep hitting the right benchmarks, he'll remain valuable in the lineup regardless of his defensive spot." https://www.mlb.com/prospects/tigers/jace-jung-690291

Yup. He's overpaid, but that's what free agency usually results in for the bigger contracts. It is what it, its a sunk cost and won't be discounted by one penny unless Harris can find a team to take Baez. And even then, I'm not sure it'd be worth the prospects to send and/or the equal bad contracts coming back to get it done. Baez still plays damn good defense at SS. Its not like he's a complete waste on the field. And with the way the rest of the lineup is shaping up, hitting Baez lower in the lineup would be a way to not hide his bat, but lower its importance. -
Don Kelly had a dozen gloves? I ain't gonna question him. If Mozart had a dozen wands, would you question it? If Picasso had a dozen paint brushes, would you question it?

Maybe she's a furry and this was her coming out party? I don't know.

Are Keith and Jung too similar enough in defensive weaknesses that its going to be tough to carry both at some combination of 2B/3B? I get their calling cards are their bats, but the gloves are part of the equation, too. Maybe I'm wrong, but with what I've read and heard, it sounds like both are 3B. Keith gets 2B this season as a way to promote his bat to Detroit, and not force his arm across the diamond at 3B for the immediate future, but it will be strong enough to handle it longer term.

You and I are conversing Broadway (albeit very minimally) on the interwebs. We cannot let our wives know about this. It'll ruin our street cred with them. Her cousin never did shows in high school and now that she's off on her own, she's really acquired a taste for it. Part of it is to meet new people as she's off in a new location. This was her first role where she had a bit of an extended solo part. I feel bad for her that this wacked show was it, but hey, good for her, she's progressing up the ranks and she enjoys it.

Let's wait and see how Gibson folds into the rotation.

Is it April Fool's Day?

My wife's cousin was in a community theatre production of Cats. I'd never seen it before. My guess is that the production was in general pretty similar to the original. My only conclusion is that ain't no way that show was conceived by a sober mind.

I think he'd be better in the studio, pregame/postgame.

Cunningham has stepped up his 3FG% this season. I am tired of seeing Stewart launching 3s. Looks at stats for both. Decides this is the end of this post.

That is something that a non broadcaster visiting the booth might not be aware of during the broadcast. And so add this to what I mentioned above about not wanting to cut Horton off, and it is tough navigation for Benetti or anyone else to get through. Just to clarify, I don't think chas was being critical in as much as just pointing out what was going on in the booth at the time.

Oh, mais oui, tres bien!
