Any relation to Ice T or Mr T?
-
Maybe Michigan is serious about going to the SEC after all?
-
Isn't St. Jim going to giddily roll out the all star substitute head coaching lineup like his last suspension?
-
I can separate the two. I think what the Tigers need is a keystone combo with the first names of Ben and Jerry. I think then they'd be onto something.
-
Not quite, I'd rather have the actual game day. But there was so much bluster about Harbaugh having his day in court. And they punt before the hearing? So, if I'm keeping score correctly, 1 assistant coach was fired and 1 head coach has been suspended (including the biggest game on the schedule) and willingly punted his appeal. But nothing wrong happened, there's nothing to see here?

Can't find the official statistic to prove it, but pitchers never used the inside part of the plate against Kluszewski while he wore this shirt.

I do like ice cream.

Hey, what time is that hearing today?

Oh, I don't know. Some of those contracts are excessive on the back end. Machado $39M/season age 34 through age 40. Bogaerts $25M/season age 30 through age 40. They are the same age. Think Cabrera and Martinez in 2017 & 2018. That ain't going to be fun. Although I suppose there's a reasonable chance that Machado and Bogaerts age more gracefully than Cabrera and Martinez due to physique, training, positional spectrum, etc.

Matt Shepard Out as Tigers PBP, Jason Benetti In.

I don't remember much about his Piston basketball PBP except that he used the phrase "pocket pass" way too much. -
I think it should be more. He's got previous history, whether the transgressions have been punished or not. Plus he was dragging Gobert backwards via chokehold. He wasn't simply holding him back. He was actually dragging him backwards. Honestly, what does a 5 game suspension do? He'll appeal, it'll get reduced to 3 games, and there will be some other altercation in the not too distant future.

There’s the physical aspect of it, but there’s also the mental part of it, the leadership part of it. Was he handling a lot of point duties at Oklahoma State? Is this completely new for him? The other thing is it’s a new head coach, too. A more experienced team is probably going to transition better, at least I would think it would.

Further hampering the Padres are the no trade clauses that seem to be present in the higher dollar longer term contracts. Some of those are full no trades, some are partial lists. They may not necessarily be immovable, but it just adds to the complexity.

Is MLB looking to add time in between innings, ie, commercial time, anf this will offset that? Anyone notice how NCAA games still go long despite the revamped running clock? Anyone notice how numerous and long commercial breaks are? Any adjustments made to that?

This was in the 1st 2 minutes of the 1st quarter. He needs a substantial suspension. And given that he could have really caused harm to another player, it kind of takes away some of the power of the players' association to push back against a suspension.

Oh, I don't have an aversion to trading Keith or Jung away. I understand not wanting to block prospects. But if they could bring in Kim and go with 2 of Kim/Jung/Keith at 2B & 3B while the other remains in the minors or is traded away for a quality return, I think that's something to consider.

Stavenhagen mentioned that he voted for Rodriguez based on performance. He also mentioned there really aren't any guidelines to base your vote upon. It doesn't specify strictly on field (best pure player, or output vs expectation, etc) and there's nothing to suggest how off field variables should be taken into consideration. Edit to add: Stavenhagen mentioned he voted Rodriguez 1st and Carpenter 2nd, if I remember it correctly.
-
I don't think so. Take on Carpenter's $5.5M player option for 2024 (which they can dump) along with Kim ($8M). Where does that get it? Does this get it to along the "prospect" lines of what they acquired Canha for? I would think Kim at $8M + $5.5M is more valuable than Canha at $11.5M, but not valuable enough to where it would cost either of Keith or Jung. I may be wrong about that, I don't know.

As court rules Oregon State, Washington State have full control of Pac-12, teams explore 2024 schedule options Sounds interesting. Will they go back to a North-South divisional arrangement?
-
Maybe, I guess. I mostly crapped and napped back then.
