I’m not sure there’s much bravery to it. He is no longer a baseball player. He’s a hack. He’s a below 100 OPS+ for the past 7 seasons (6 1/2 if you want to asterisk the 2020 season). He’s played in 4 games of the last 13 game days with 3 off days tucked in there. So he’s been healthy enough to swing a bat in 4 games in the last 16 days. His career is hall of fame. His current status is a joke.
Absolutely.
Hey, its great if Hinch is willing to go to bat for his players. But this team isn't the Miguel Caberas. Its the Detroit Tigers. If he isn't capable of doing anything at all to help the team in the foreseeable future, and if Hinch is indeed the genie behind the curtain that we were force fed last season when everything was wonderful, then what are they doing by continuing on with a completely useless body on the active roster? Is it possible Hinch really is the wet noodle that the trash can issue suggest he is and Cabrera is forcing the issue to remain off of the IL?
A healthy able bodied baseball player? Cabrera is absolutely worthless right now. Heck, Daz Cameron is a more effective baseball player right now simply because he can do baseball things like play defense or pinch run. Cabrera sits in the dugout with a bad knee. Where is the value with that?
Scherzer is often injured? A five man pitching staff means 32 spots per slot. He consistently gets 30 starts per season, unless baseball reference is lying to us.

Jason Castro seems to be bounced around these parts every other season or something like that. His BBs and SOs seem way out of whack this season, albeit in playing limited time.
Ah, I see where you where going with the over/under now. It was a seed, just right at somebody. Are there really over/unders on exit velocity outcome? I know there are more in game bets these days, but I just assumed it'd be more along the lines of hit/out.
