  1. The Tiger pitching staff should be in good shape. The series vs Cleveland will be 5 games in 8 days, weather looks lovely so no rainouts. Roster construction should probably remain 12 pitchers and 14 position players?
  2. I'm going to get one in a little bit. Should I be worried?
  3. Zaidi was just let go by San Francisco. Hopefully Harris' ties to the Tigers are stronger for now than the Bay Area.
  4. As much as I hate reliever roulette, the Tigers have been exceptional with the pitcher usage.
  5. Might as well leave them sleepless at night worried about when Skubal takes the bump.
  6. People.... I know its been a while and maybe some of us feel a bit out of place. The Tigers are a legitimate playoff team capable of beating any other remaining team left in the tourney. Ain't no need to steal a game. Win the games. Win all the games.
  7. Bullpen management is one thing. I think he has been using platoons and the bench pretty effectively as well.
  8. Because social media. Look, if there is a shortage, there's a YouTube on how to MacGyver a snow blower and a garden hose into a bidet, so everyone should be fine.
  9. See, this is why MLB hates the Tigers making the playoffs. Nothing but bitching about TP and game times from the Tiger fans, and the Tigers never lose a playoff series against the Yankees.
  10. He is certainly making the case that managers can make a difference. I think the thing is that most folks see that as in game stuff and game results. But there's more to that role than just telling guys to throw strikes.
  11. If we wanted facts, we'd be on Twitter or Facebook.
  12. My wife was at Costcos last night. That aisle was lit up.
  13. Well, OK. Now what do we do today?
  14. Andy Ibanez reads the forums, recognizes your photo, acknowledges your suggestion.
  15. See, I can be right once in a while.
  16. Yes, keep up them on the ropes as much as possible. The bends will turn to breaks at some point
  17. Is that close to District Detroit?
  18. Do it for @ben9753!
  19. Not quite. The other team is going with their varsity squad, too. Tough to assume sweeps at this point. But I won't complain if the Tigers can do it.
  20. This blurring of fiction to fact is akin to the Tiger Stadium right field overhang turning fly ball outs into home runs. See, everything comes back to the Tigers. Baseball is life. The rest is just details. "Now go get a f***ing win." -- Jim Leyand 3:16
  21. I think this is it. I think he wants to get through the 1st trip of these lefties and then will go to Olson vs a mostly RHH rest of the lineup. And we might see Holton start off the game tomorrow as well.
  22. Houston, you have a problem.
  23. I think its a matter of putting pressure on the Astros. Keep them down while hoping to scratch out an early lead. Get the early lead, and now the Astros have to adjust to another pitcher their next time through. The Tiger staff, at current status, is probably best when giving the opposition one look per game. In addition, get the early lead and avoid Hader in must score situations. Take away Houston's ability to get him into a game while playing from behind. Its an elimination game for Houston now. They'll probably be quick to use whatever tricks they have in their bag now.
