  1. The tiger coming out of the water there is some of your finest work.
  2. A tremendous player. 😁
  3. Probably true. There was Mauer in Minnesota, there is Ramirez in Cleveland, now there's Witt in Kansas City.
  4. Trout had 4 seasons on him at the beginning of their careers (Puckett debuted at 24, Trout at 19). But, yes, despite the differences in eras, Trout has been the better player. Puckett was pretty darn durable until he retired. He never had fewer than 600 PAs except for his rookie season (584 in 1984) and the strike shortened season (482 in 1994).
  5. I think Manning is injured. Its easy to point to the bullpen being overtaxed with the lack of SP. But what about Skubal and Montero? This game was a good one for Montero to go 7. After the first 3 batters he faced scored on the HR ball, he really held Kansas City in check and didn't throw too many pitches. But will there be a game where they try to squeeze one inning too many out of whatever SP they have because there was a BP game the game before or the game after?
  6. You know, it just occurred to me. Bally's never had the awful "players only" broadcast from RF this season.
  7. Will he still be first ballot, or will this injury streak be held against him?
  8. I'm going to guess you're hanging out in the wrong forum.
  9. Cut it out, Bobby Witt, Jr. July is over.
  10. No, no,... Hanifee is pitching for the Tigers, not against the Tigers.
  11. Should we start one for the 2027 season? Maybe the evaluations will be over by then?
  12. We're gonna need a bigger boat?
  13. At least he didn't ALL CAPS you.
  14. Might as well kick the Royals' collective ass.
  15. I ain’t arguing with QUAN.
  16. That’s true, but I’m more interested in him being ready for the quality of batters he’ll face and lasting the season without burning out.
  17. And the better stadium lights.
  18. Starters innings for SP on the Opening Day roster should be 150+. I’m not saying he’ll stay in Toledo all season. Just keep him there in April, limit his innings, he can be among the first call ups if/when needed.
  19. Madden has been spectacularly awful in Toledo.
  20. I can’t see Jobe starting out the season in Detroit. If anything, maybe they take the Paul Skenes route of shorter outings in Toledo early without burning him up before the season ends. He hasn’t pitched even 100 innings in a season yet. They’ll need a top half rotation SP and a mid tier SP. Skubal, SP, SP, Olson. Maeda can try to earn the 5th spot. Jobe, Montero, and Gipson-Long in Toledo. Probably need another AAAA type or two in Toledo. I’d leave the RP returnees in the BP. I’m not all that interested in stretching out Faedo, or Brieske, or Holton. And they’ll need reinforcements, too. They have had quite a number of rookies this season. Might as well add Meadows to that, too, he’s pretty much a rookie for all intents and purposes. Hopefully they can keep their heads above water to finish out the season and maybe trim down the offensive wish list over the offseason.
  21. I read a little bit about Sweeney, and maybe he is the new McKinstry. It seemed a lot of commentary about him being a LHH utility type. Liranzo could be a huge addition if they can get him to hit with more contact. Easier said than done, but it sounds like the power comes kind of easily. And if catching duties become reduced via automated strike zone, than that’s one less thing to worry about if stays behind the dish. And supposedly he has a strong arm, but the throwing motion needs work. I don’t know. Guess we’ll find out eventually.
  22. Three guys off of the 40 and none of the returning guys are on it, so there’s room to maneuver there.
  23. That seems like a less than glowing report on his defense.
  24. Fine, just send all 4 Dodger prospects mentioned.
  25. “Kendall George is a 90 runner on a 20-80 scale.” Guess we’re going to have to dig out the old Nook Logan jokes.
