  1. Has anyone remined Mr Devout Faith that he works on Sundays, the Lord's day of rest, spitting in the eyes of his savior by choosing money over the rules laid out in the good book?
  2. Harrison Buttker. Just shut up and kick.
  3. Will Manning get any of those doubleheader starts?
  4. Your move, Benetti.
  5. Seems a better way to handle it.
  6. Shock collars.
  7. 🤫 Not so loud, you might jinx it.
  8. They need more lineup depth for sure. The IF has been dreadful at the plate which has sunk the team. I’m not sure where the improvement comes from this season unless Torkelson gets back to at least his 2023 average, Keith stops hitting like a rookie pitcher, and Baez …. stops hitting like a rookie pitcher.
  9. Not sure. They were 4.00 R/G vs 4.33 league average entering today, which was 21st like you said. Last season they were 4.08 vs 4.62, which was 28th. Egads, the White Sox are on their own little planet this season.....
  10. I don't know that this is true. I was looking over OPS+ on bbref this morning and 87 last year compares quite similar to 88 so far this season. Bottom 5 in both cases. Granted, its only one cheap simple metric, but it is disappointing to see it.
  11. While on one hand it is a pretty good dig, on the other hand, is this the behavior that we should expect out of political leaders?
  12. I'll put it this way. I've always had a problem with all of the Miguel Cabrera adoration given some of his off field incidents and Chauncey Billups has always had an air of ick factor given his civil suit agreement from his days in Boston.
  13. Does Arby's have fish sandwiches to go with the curly fries tomorrow?
  14. That's kind of how I would look at it. Essentially the backcourt and wing minutes go to Cunningham, Thompson, Sheppard, Ivey, Sasser. Stagger it somehow so that two of Cunningham, Sheppard, and Sasser are on the court at all times to run the offense and have some kind of outside shot available? I don't know, maybe that backcourt 3 grouping is too short. But I wouldn't pass on Sheppard because of height if he's available at 5. They can move Ivey or Sasser if need be.
  15. Remember the sac bunts early in games?
  16. Maybe the problem is Olson and not the offense?
  17. Of course he's frustrated. I have no doubt about that. I just wonder if the frustration has been mounting upon the problem and making things worse for himself.
  18. Its probably not fair of me to call it just a L/L matchup, you're right. I'm sure he had some other rationale and I know he likes to look ahead in the game at possible matchups. I guess I don't see the reward for PHing him with two out in the 5th when that spot in the lineup is coming up again. Not for Carpenter, anyway. Now, McKinstry or Keith, I am more amenable to it.
  19. For the record, I don't like PHing for Carpenter that early in a game. I understand the general lefty on lefty situation at hand. I'm just not all that worried about Carpenter vs Nardi.
  20. Still leading MLB in doubles, too. So, wait, is it going to be like reverse Lent? Is he going to going 40 straight games with a homer and that's how he is getting to 40? He's got the first 2 games in a row down already. It seems like that might be a record.
  21. Waiting out bad contracts? There's one. And he still provides plenty of defense and baserunning (well, ok, this is few and far between given the bat).
  22. Is Matt Manning going to have problems pitching in a singleheader?
