  1. Why not move him back to 3B?
  2. More pitching mound shenanigans, please.
  3. Hasn’t he already had two major arm injuries? Both TJ?
  4. I like the idea of drafting up the middle if the choices aren't too much of a reach. SS, CF, SP, C.
  5. If you change the rule to 3 players need to stand right next to each other and do the X thing, maybe they can get OnlyFans to sponsor this reset timeout?
  6. Verlander and Scherzer as Tigers are starting to feel like a long time ago.
  7. We might know a guy that knows guy that knows a guy that knows
  8. I've read this a few times. I think you've got a combination of sarcasm and reality that masks from me what you're getting at. Bottom line is this. You're married, and so you and your wife have to make life decisions that you think are best for your family. That's fine, some of us around here are married, we get the drill. But those decisions are for you to make. Butker's return to priests with backs turned to the congregation while conducting Catholic mass in Latin commentary was about men being men and women being women, pure and simple. There is no gray area about what he was getting at. And so **** his opinion on that.
  9. Just to add to this nugget, MLB average is 14.2%. https://www.baseball-reference.com/leagues/majors/2024-situational-batting.shtml It seems impossible that (1) the Tigers would be slightly above average at such a metric and that (2) Baez would be one of the team leaders in such a metric.
  10. This is the issue with it. "Let me interrupt your graduation ceremony with my personal beliefs of what's best for you women out there".
  11. I mentioned before, he sounds more Chicago than Detroit in the commercial that he yammers about his hat.
  12. Ah, yes, tell the females in your life their only job is to procreate and cook. Let me know how that works for you.
  13. I heard on a podcast that Baez is actually one of the team leaders in either AVG or OPS with RISP. I cannot find that matrix. However, check this little stat out. 19.3% of his inherited base runners have scored vs the Tiger team total of 14.5%. https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/DET/2024-batting.shtml If you're interested, scroll down to Team PH/HR/Situ Hitting*.
  14. He is terrible. That's who he is. The beauty of watching on delayed recording is zipping through those awful commercials.
  15. Clearly doing shots for each Tiger baserunner. Normally it wouldn't be concerning.
  16. I like that they were more aggressive. I don't know that the aggression should occur on the hands. Maybe it rode in on him more than he thought it would.
  17. I honestly don’t miss him.
  18. Well, that plays into the part that he wasn’t ready for MLB yet if he was hitting 7th on the 2022 Tigers.
  19. 7th is where he hit most often in his rookie season. Anywhere between 5 through 8, but 7th was the spot most reserved for him. No question it was too early and he was eventually demoted.
  20. Or he gets it together and starts performing.
  21. I'm guilty of that. There's a small family grocery/butcher in the old 'hod that we get kielbasa from for Christmas and Easter. Its completely out of our way, but it wouldn't hurt to go some other time of the year once in a while.
  22. Correct, there were lots of things going on with the team at that time. Anderson had to convince him to unretire for a second tour in Detroit to begin with.
  23. I remember working holidays in a previous job. Customer: "Oh, that's too bad you have to work today." My thoughts: Stay the **** out of here.
  24. He walked away, but he was still an effective player. Baez currently is not. Big difference.
