I read a little bit about Sweeney, and maybe he is the new McKinstry. It seemed a lot of commentary about him being a LHH utility type. Liranzo could be a huge addition if they can get him to hit with more contact. Easier said than done, but it sounds like the power comes kind of easily. And if catching duties become reduced via automated strike zone, than that’s one less thing to worry about if stays behind the dish. And supposedly he has a strong arm, but the throwing motion needs work. I don’t know. Guess we’ll find out eventually.

Agree with you on the reunion. As for Rogers, I do kind of wonder how much the 2 or 3 additional seasons of control factor into this. No doubt Flaherty is having the better season. But Baltimore must have some affinity for the future with Rogers.

I just think piling all of the blame on Harris as the sole reason for the failure is wrong. And I'm fine with not extending/resigning Rodriguez.

Nobody outside of principles of the trade knows exactly how/when Rodriguez enacted his no trade clause. In fact, the Dodgers themselves were surprised. So, I think its disingenuous to pile all of the blame onto Harris. Rodriguez and his agency also deserve some scorn.
