Very well put. I under estimated how crucial commonly held mythologies are to a society until relatively recently. If they don't get their act together they'll be creating new mythologies that don't benefit the game. Given the unquantifiability of myth, I have my doubts it has any chance to outweigh money.

I hate to agree but I do. It feels like a bad deal if your expecting anything other than crummy pizza which is what you're really paying for.

Id 3rd, 4th or whatever that feeling. In an ideal world they'd maybe pick someone up from that 2nd/3rd tier of free agents that lingers on the market and some wily peralta eque reclamation project. Regardless, I think they need 2 more starting arms and i more expect they'll get just get 2 reclamation projects to fill the need.

Cleveland is scheduled for a double header tomorrow and has one less off day than Detroit the rest of the way. So, if they stick to the schedule and don't get rained out anymore, Cleveland will catch up

Pretty sure you're kidding but I've been doing the same with some pokemon cards. Anywayd, I can relate, it is damn time consuming!

I went to quite a few games at the old dome, it SUCKED! Couldn't hear a thing, felt sterile and that weird baggie in right covering the excess seating was just odd. Glad its gone, Target Field is a great baseball venue. It feels small and intimate, whereas the the metrodome was cavernous. One thing that must've carried over or is just part of the franchise is CRANKING the music. It leaves my head spinning from the inundation of loud noise for hours on end after a game. I mostly only attend games at Target Field so I'm not sure if the trend is league wide or localized but the need to fill every possible second with speaker noise at the game has greatly reduced my enjoyment.
