  1. Fred McGriff's posture is so good that he looks like he is going to tip over backwards.
  2. Wow, you guys really need a new foundational document. Sorry "framers".
  3. I don't think that Trump created all of these reprehensible people. They were always there, everyone always assumed that they were 15% of the population but now you know it was 30% at a minimum. He didn't create them, he just lifted up the rock so that they could slither out. Now that they are out, out and proud that they are so stupid, they don't need him anymore. They will still be there after he is not, and they will grow in strength.
  4. Those people outside of Mar-a-Lago tonight in their Trump pickups and Trump flags reinforce the old stereotype, "more guns than teeth".
  5. This strikes me as very odd. He has the profile of a loyal org soldier, had his cup of coffee last year, helped Carpenter with his swing...and then poof. They didn't even waste the ink on a Transactions note.
  6. Manning is through 3 innings on 43 pitches.
  7. The complaint about Baddoo was calling him up to sit on the bench while Grossman and Willi started in the outfield. It was just stupid.
  8. He could be our new fave.
  9. Garrett Hill doing well this evening.
  10. Even then they got it backwards, Trammell as manager and Gibson as bench coach. I remember being shocked by that.
  11. That's a good point, 3B was the only unsettled position. Sparky didn't like HoJo's glove, and Brookens didn't hit with the power that they wanted, and Marty Castillo couldn't hit at all. So Jeimer if playing well might have been in the mix. I wanted them to trade Herndon after 1984 and put HoJo in left.
  12. Skubal in long relief?
  13. No it is not the same thing as you are saying at all. You have been writing essays about negotiations and settlements under which he is somehow forced out and somehow he doesn't play even if he wants to and believes himself healthy enough to do so. I'm saying that that has always been pure fantasy and if he wants to play, he will. Of course they can DFA him, they can do that today. That's hardly something that I am "missing".
  14. Did you read the part where I said they could release him?
  15. Policelli and Robson were teammates in the GCL in 2016. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/team.cgi?id=6dd0ab6a
  16. He's been in the organization for years without anyone noticing.
  17. Definitely. The only way he does not play is if he and he alone decides not to. Otherwise, there is nothing Ilitch or Avila can do about it except pay him the full amount and release him, regardless of how many essays are written about negotiating a settlement.
  18. There is absolutely no one here who ever WANTED him to play next year. We were just saying that that was the most likely outcome and that there was nothing that anyone could do to force him out. And that is still 100% correct.
  19. LOL I think you were on the bandwagon of immediate retirement after 3,000 hits! I think the knee injury might finally finish him off, but it's not over yet.
  20. Tigers have driven RHP Derek Law 200 miles out into the wilderness and left him there.
  21. I'm certainly happy that Grossman got all that playing time to bump up his trade value, that was smart field management.
