  1. The complaint about Baddoo was calling him up to sit on the bench while Grossman and Willi started in the outfield. It was just stupid.
  2. He could be our new fave.
  3. Garrett Hill doing well this evening.
  4. Even then they got it backwards, Trammell as manager and Gibson as bench coach. I remember being shocked by that.
  5. That's a good point, 3B was the only unsettled position. Sparky didn't like HoJo's glove, and Brookens didn't hit with the power that they wanted, and Marty Castillo couldn't hit at all. So Jeimer if playing well might have been in the mix. I wanted them to trade Herndon after 1984 and put HoJo in left.
  6. Skubal in long relief?
  7. No it is not the same thing as you are saying at all. You have been writing essays about negotiations and settlements under which he is somehow forced out and somehow he doesn't play even if he wants to and believes himself healthy enough to do so. I'm saying that that has always been pure fantasy and if he wants to play, he will. Of course they can DFA him, they can do that today. That's hardly something that I am "missing".
  8. Did you read the part where I said they could release him?
  9. Policelli and Robson were teammates in the GCL in 2016. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/team.cgi?id=6dd0ab6a
  10. He's been in the organization for years without anyone noticing.
  11. Definitely. The only way he does not play is if he and he alone decides not to. Otherwise, there is nothing Ilitch or Avila can do about it except pay him the full amount and release him, regardless of how many essays are written about negotiating a settlement.
  12. There is absolutely no one here who ever WANTED him to play next year. We were just saying that that was the most likely outcome and that there was nothing that anyone could do to force him out. And that is still 100% correct.
  13. LOL I think you were on the bandwagon of immediate retirement after 3,000 hits! I think the knee injury might finally finish him off, but it's not over yet.
  14. Tigers have driven RHP Derek Law 200 miles out into the wilderness and left him there.
  15. I'm certainly happy that Grossman got all that playing time to bump up his trade value, that was smart field management.
  16. I want an R/R first baseman who bats seventh for his college team and whose nickname is "Spaz".
  17. Well but I see it the opposite way, his reputation as a guy who can't lead a clubhouse has everything to do with the mutiny about the garbage cans.
  18. Just bewildering. Is Hinch still running the front office, or is it Avila who does the dumb stuff, or is it both of them?
  19. Yes, I think making a move just to make a move.
  20. According to the GameDay strike zone Fulmer is getting a lot of generous calls.
  21. That's very sad to hear, but what a fabulous life. Take a bow Vin.
