  1. This is great….
  2. Spending like drunken rangers
  3. I guess they showed enough to the libs...
  4. For the record Anderson only threw one octopi and it was underhanded.
  5. Sitting in the local DMV attempting to get a copy of my vehicle title. Between COVID and moving the “clean” title fell thru the cracks. Filled out all the paperwork and have an extremely helpful CSR. Yet the computerized process still provides too many hoops for a normal person to handle
  6. That was sort of my thought. I guess it depends who has an arm come spring. Opener???
  7. 1 year $10 mil plus Can he fill in at third?
  8. They've set up a couple busker spots between the shopping/restaurant portion of Colonial Williamsburg and the major tourist area. It's fairly new and "performers" need to be permited. Then there is this one guy who plays trombone....
  9. As a jock I used to hate political season and it's endless spots, especially the week before Election Day. Especially since the stations I worked had policies of no competitors in the same stop set. It was small market in the 70s and 80s, we tried to limit lengths of breaks more or less. 3 spots, weather report, more spots, live psa or promo, etc. You were lucky you could get 4 songs in a half hour...
  10. Corman is another "flawed" detective. The novels are very good
  11. Especially the sales staffs. Holiday sales aren't that profitable and you can't rely on car dealers
  12. Georgia changed the law earlier this year to shorten the time between the general and runoff elections. Basically lawmakers felt that the longer time between elections was too exhausting to the candidates and election officials. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2022-election/georgias-new-voting-law-affects-senate-runoff-rcna57152
  13. Miggy's not the first big star to play past his expiration date and he won't be the last. Willie McCovey, Stargell an a guy called Mays come to mind. I don't know who he may be blocking at the moment, nut the team isn't going anywhere next year anyway. Let him have his farewell tour. And if the stars actually align he may surpass Paul Konerko numbers
  14. Circling back to the Dylan discussion....
  15. Reading the fine print (just changed my prescription) top row Bertinelli, Kathryn Leigh Scott, Judy Norton-Taylor (Waltons), Jan Smithers. edit, for those wondering Kathryn Leigh Scott evidently was in the daytime soap Dark Shadows way back in the days of the Mavericks and Pintos.
  16. I tend to agree on health care. That said our current Medicare system is completely F-UP. You almost need a masters in economics to figure out the health plans for anything beyond basic coverage. That whole system has turned into a big money grab for hospital systems and giant pharma. Nobody needs to be paying $2000 a month for prescriptions that may or may not help you in the long and have side effects that could possibly kill you in the end
  17. Assuming you've kept up with All Things Great and Small. It's based onthe James Harriott book. My wife really got into the series based on Michael Connelly's Bosch novels...I think they are on Prime. Basically a detective series I liked the lead character. You also might want to check out Strike or C B Strike. Another detective series based on JK Rowlings (Robert Galbraith) novels.
  18. I just watched Hey Pepsi, where's my jet (Netflix). Not bad, not great. Interesting story about the kid who tried to sue Pepsi to get a Harrier. The interaction between the kid, John Leonard, and his "mentor" Todd Hoffman is very interesting. That along with the executives from PepsiCo and their advertising agency.
  19. It's not at Hienz Field or whatever the new corporate name is but at a local museum. How hard is it to do something similar at Washington's stadium. Just another reason to reject public funding to billionaires. And closer to home just take a look at the Harwell statue at Comerica. The DC one looks like it was planned about 2 weeks ago at the conclusion of a drunken party.
  20. A nice payday for Harbaugh https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/bigten/2022/11/26/michigan-coach-jim-harbaugh-bonus-ohio-state-win/10780731002/
  21. If this is grooming, I approve of it. What has MTG, Kerry Lake et all done lately? https://www.styleweekly.com/richmond/death-drops-for-tots/Content?oid=19463505 Those of us who grew up watching Milton Berle, Flip Wilson, Corp Klinger, Tom Hanks, etc approve. But then the Christian Right probably snuck in and out of strip clubs and massage parlors.
  22. One name on the Stanford speculation list that jumps out at me is Bronco Mendenhall. I don't know his reason for leaving UVa after 2021 but he did a good job in reviving that program. He also had success at BYU.
  23. Need a bit more zing on your serves. Now you're just lobbing them up there like an aging Bobby Riggs
  24. Now you're just trolling, Not very useful here
