  1. I think CB's drop off at a faster rate than WR's. Larger step downs from rung to rung in my ladder example (that I tried to post but I think it got edited out...) than WR's.
  2. I would like to add to that: I wouldn't draft Skoronski at 6 if: Will Anderson is on the board. Tyree Wilson is on the board. Myles Muphy is on the board. (He's just a favorite of mine - with size (6' 5" 275 #'s) and speed (4.55 40), pass rush abilities, and the ability to slide all along the line, something Holmes/ DC/ AG love... Also, he's the best edge-setting (against the run) DE in the draft. Further refinement needed, but I take him for multiple reasons. Over Skoronski, EASILY. Christian Gonazalez is on the board. Bijan Robinson is on the board. Jalen Carter is on the board. (But ONLY if Holmes/ DC/ AG give their Seal of Approval.) Devon Witherspoon is on the board. (But ONLY if Holmes/ DC/ AG agree with this.) Will Levis is on the board. (But ONLY if Holmes/ DC/ AG agree with this.)
  3. Holmes doesn't draft for floors... He drafts for upsides...
  4. PS: Add in size advantage. Which covers two things: getting off the line; and red zone/ 1st downs (using size advantage for 50/50's or similar...).
  5. Except at x. Or, at least not as much as the other two WR positions. An x-receiver can just fly. Their primary function is to stretch the defense. That's not ONLY it, but it is the primary. Add in blocking... if you have a good rookie x who is also a good blocker... they may not get every nuance down their rookie year, but blocking and stretching the defense covers 2/3's of what they would be asked to do... maybe more... You can go with rookie + Reynolds + Cephus... Easily IMO, if you select the right guy in the draft...
  6. Unless they actually SEE him (on TV or at-the-game, doesn't matter...).
  7. "With last night's loss, Detroit is assured of finishing no lower than tied for 3rd with Charlotte..." Detroit has 8 games left. They'd have to go 8-0 to do this and Charlotte would have to lose every single game for even this to happen. Essentially, Detroit cannot finish lower than the top 3 and I don't even count Charlotte. Detroit would have to win 2 games or 3 games and Houston/ SA lose every single game for a position swap to happen. I think Houston is the one and only team realistically within that range. I think we are stuck in the top two, and only if we beat Houston is there a chance to finish 2, instead of 1. Just my 'pinion.
  8. I'd rather just draft a new WR. Maybe one who could stay on the field.
  9. Simon now has the goal. They correctly switched it.
  10. Luff didn't touch that. It went off the Blues' defender's skate. And then ricocheted twice off the goalie (right skate left knee) before sliding in for the score... Simon is a Pinball Wizard!!!
  11. Of course they do. But I'm not a player, I'm a fan. I'm giving MY perspective... as a fan.
  12. I see this as simply an additional venue/ event to celebrate the winner of Super Bowl LVIII.
  13. There is also one thing I agree with Hongbit on: We are not playing for 2023, we are playing for 2024. Miggy doesn't matter in that regard, nor do wins/ losses this year. What matters is we fix all our broken players and try to identify who can be a part of a competitive/ playoff team next year. Fix Mize, Skubal and Torkenson. Fix Baez (if he sticks with us next year), Meadows and E-Rod (same as Baez, see if he sticks for the remainder of his contract). If Baez and E-Rod are hot at the deadline, and adamant about opting out, trade them for other futures. Help Greene & Manning to improve their games/ reach higher levels. See what kind of players Vierling/ Maton/ Carpenter/ Parker/ Wentz/ Brieske are... are they pieces of the team? As is? Or does Brieske get pushed to the BP? Same with Faedo... is he a starter/ reliever/ or someone to move on from? How high this year do Madden and Flores rise? Is Wenceel a part of the future? Schoop surely isn't. These and many other questions are the important issues this year. Not wins & losses. To me.
  14. On this part (all of it, not just the bolded part) I agree with. The only way to "early retire" Miggy is if would agree to it. Oh how I wish Miggy would take a buyout (100% pay out of course, but I mean the roster spot) to become a Bench Coach/ Goodwill Ambassador. But he wants to play, so he will. As much as his body allows... even if he goes 0 for 100. All I can do is bitch about it... and be glad when it's over and done with.
  15. There's our inside pass rush. I like the idea...
  16. Or is it better to have a utility player that allows certain players to take a day off or be substituted for properly (including game injury); rather than forcing a starting player to play through an injury because instead of having a proper backup to cover for the guy... we have a Corpse Formerly Known as Miggy Cabrera on the roster? Asking for a friend.
  17. I have no complaints whatsoever... With paying off his final year and telling him he's off the roster. And he can still stay with the team as a Bench (cheerleader) Coach and wave to the fans every game. And hobnob with all the other players (both teams) in all the day's downtime... No complaints whatsoever. PS: this is not an old man yells at cloud situation, btw...
  18. They could also drop Schoop and add a multi-tooled IF'er... which might help some... I still think Haase and maybe Carpenter/ or Meadows needs to learn 1B.
  19. Obviously Lee was just joking... But I gave you some love for this post anyways because... It just all makes so much sense...
  20. Even better: I'm pushing the IGNORE button:
  21. Missing a third button there... "He's a guilty Mo-Fo so lock him up and throw away the key" That's the button I'm pushing.
  22. Case in point: "Trump betrayed us": https://www.yahoo.com/news/betrayed-us-why-trumps-call-205747693.html
  23. China is literally pushing Russia out of Central Asia. Another embarrassment for Putin & Russia. They (Putin/ Russia) are losing face/ political influence/ soft-power hard-power... by the minute. They are a severely diminished country. With nukes. https://www.yahoo.com/news/xi-snubbed-putin-summit-calling-123050319.html
  24. PS: Russia's military stocks that are "comparatively deep"... Means they are using tanks from the 1950's against Leopard, Abrams, and Challenger tanks, broomsticks and shovels to attack machine guns, and Ladas to carry generals to the front... to be killed (again). Your cute little article is badly outdated, patently false, and entirely misleading and a misrepresentation of battlefield truths.
