  1. You know it was odd to me when I saw the starting 2nd line of Suter & Kubalik with Rasmussen Centering but.... guess what? 1-0.
  2. Thanks for that... I had to do a quick channel switch...
  3. Dude... I'm on board...
  4. And not Loctite either. Glue stick.
  5. Yeah... This year we get band aids, rubber bands, and some glue...
  6. Probably. But my point remains... Talking loudly about "judicial reforms" has already triggered Dems & Independents in a huge way. They already have come to realize that Republicans talking about "judiciary" and "abortion law" means outlawing abortion, and "election law" means Republicans attempting to overthrow our democracy. They might run on the judiciary in 2024, but I think I am correct in stating that that will be a quiet under-the-radar message and not a loud platform message. IMO: they are going to be VERY careful on messaging around that topic...
  7. I was being facetious on that in the sense that the Rangers seem to be snapping up FA's early each year... well, starting last year. We'll see if that works for them. Oh, also... Does Degrom stay healthy and pitch like Degrom, or spend as much time on the IL as Zimmerman did, reducing the effectiveness of that signing way, way down...? That would be a terrible parallel for them...
  8. And to the Yankees playoff hopes (IMO).
  9. They're following the Al Avila build-a-team model...
  10. And it looks like the Jan 6th committee is talking about specifically recommending charges against Trump, not just some of the coup-attackers... He's going to become a major, major hot potato...
  11. I doubt it. Trump will be taking more hits/ stains on his qualities as a presidential candidate that the GOP is going to try and hide from, not flaunt, his legal problems. They already lost big when trying to tie themselves to Trump's fraudulent fraud claims and now, they are going to try to tie themselves to Trump's legal problems? They got their judges... I think at this point they do the opposite and avoid judiciary commentary like a hot potato; instead, resting on their 110 conservative/ Trump-political-hack-specialist judges that they placed in the system... Just my 2 cents.
  12. ... are attracted to Donald J. Trump, because... Birds of a Feather.
  13. Zadina drops to 16th. And McIsaac all the way to 78th. Veleno surprisingly jumps up to 24th. Berggren basically steady at 35.
  14. That appears to be the specific reason he got dumped. Some major discord when he traded Brown away...
  15. Crap... I totally forgot about Olson. He'll start out at AAA with the other 3 IMO and make whatever 2023 MLB starts they can squeeze him into...
  16. PS: As for Dems... I think Cheney is not ideal but, would be viewed as a "fair-minded" partisan rather than a Trump or Freedom Caucus (or fascist forces) Republican... she might get more than just a few Dem votes...
  17. Maybe on Scalice... but he's much more willing to reach across the aisle which might be about as good as it gets. Agree on Cheney... that was just a pipe dream comment...
  18. Quite possibly. But there would be a very simple reason for that and it would NOT be partisan politics: It would be what's called: "Track Record."
  19. Liz Cheney or Steven Scalice for Speaker please...
  20. We don't get 3 "kiss and make up" 1st rounders from MLB for that?
  21. I like this ideology/ method... A little more fleshing out: I think Madden, Flores & Bergner will start out in AAA, and get any MLB starts based on turn-in-the-rotation, etc... Hurter, I think, won't make AAA until at least mid-season and therefore would be more of an end of season consideration... and might be a bullpen consideration at that (Hurter), not necessarily lined up to get a start or two... Just my 2 cents.
  22. I'm OK with signing another vet starter... although I don't feel any particular leaning towards what level that starter is (not related to anything you've posted, just adding an extra 2 cents...). I think the next vet starter would be primarily for, as you've stated it, insurance. And to me that really could be anything so I won't sweat whoever that guy might turn out to be as much as... just glad if we add one more "guy" just to have in the mix...
  23. Next question... based on Harris's comments as SoCal pointed out... How much MLB time do we see in 2023 for Wenceel Perez? Switch-hitting infielder with speed, and some developing power, and no noticeable split variances...
  24. Is there a Lottery Party or should I just down a few shots screaming "CHEERS!" after each one?
