  1. So is it Ned's fault?
  2. That doesn't do it for me. I prefer to be a little more plain and to the point: He's a Russian Stooge. Just like TFG was, boot-licking Putin hoping to get a Trump Tower Moscow. Carlson has taken over for TFG as Putin's Official Boot-Licker.
  3. Tucker Carlson = Russian Stooge.
  4. PS: I think it is.
  5. But since we are the world leader (by past reputation-only at this point...) in promoting Democracy... I am fully on board with the U.S. having a massive say in what happens in Ukraine. They want freedom. They want Democracy. They want the EU and NATO. They do not want Putin's fascist dictatorship. So we can provide weapons, sanction the F out of Putin/ Russia/ oligarchs, we can yank Russia out of SWIFT (Germany opposes that; but they are tied to the hip economically with Russia (read: Russia's oil and gas)), I would bulk up our forces like crazy in Poland and Romania and the Black Sea. I'm sick of Putin's belligerence and attacks (cyber) on the U.S. and other western democracies. And he has attacked the U.S., he is not innocent of that. I'm glad Biden is standing up to him in a big way. I would do everything possible (which I believe he is doing) short of a direct war between the U.S. and Russia to thwart Putin's designs.
  6. Right... I agree with the second part. But for the first part: you were saying China was going to effect a slow takeover of Taiwan, just like Hong Kong... as if it were a done deal. I don't think it's a done deal just because China "wants them". They might not get what they want. In fact, I'd love to see the reverse take place... Xi's regime suffer some ignominious defeat (economic/ political/ not military) and Taiwan offer to institute, and implement, a Democratic Reform over mainland China. It will never happen but... you know... dreams of sugar plums and fairies.
  7. What hypocritical horseshit. He stonewalled with a year to go in Obama's term. And then rushed Amy through in under a month to go in Trump's term (election, that is... in which he was voted OUT). I'm calling BS. Or were you just trying to trigger...?
  8. England basically "owned" Hong Kong. And agreed to hand it over on a timetable, just like we handed over the Panama Canal to Panama... under agreement. No one "owns" Taiwan, despite all China's whining. It isn't the same thing.
  9. Republican Fascist Scum. Trump Supporters are Scum.
  10. Yeah, he's not going to be OC anywhere. To MB's point, he's under contract. And he's stepping away because he's burnt out. If anything might work, it would be doing work as a "Consultant". I'm not certain how that works contractually. But let's say we hire an OC, internal or otherwise (but especially if internal); and we asked Payton to help us design plays/ an offensive scheme/ whatever... and it could be multi-year work... But he wouldn't be an official part of the team and the scope of work and amount of work (contracted hours) would be limited. Probably a few teams might be interested in Payton on that basis.
  11. That out of the top 4 records (Dodgers, Yankees, Cardinals, Rays) there are only two World Series wins between them: Cardinals 2011, Dodgers 2020. I love that because it's a non-subtle "Suck it Yankees!" message...
  12. Lots of players without a job at the moment... I think sensibility and or reasonableness may have the upper hand... rather than one side or the other...
  13. Chicago Blackhawks, 15-20-7, 7-12-4 AWAY TNT 1/26 7:30 PM Detroit Red Wings, 18-18-6, 13-6-3 HOME
  14. He dug through walls with his rock hammer to gain freedom.
  15. Isn't the definition for Archie Bunker in Webster's Dictionary: "deliberately obtuse"?
  16. Excellent buying opportunity right now... I put some money into the market this morning when all the Chicken Littles were running for the hills. That's where Archie Bunker lives, right? In the Hills of the Rio Grande?
  17. He's a fascist who attempted to overthrow the United States Government. He gets what he deserves. No matter the list of extensive skillsets that you've pointed out.
  18. Yeah I don't like that idea. How about instead, that if a team loses any significant time to an official's error (and really this is only at the end of the game or end of the half or in the last two minutes...): The Head Coach can toss a challenge flag. Allow a team to challenge an official's error based solely on time; whether that is 3 seconds or 10 seconds or whatever... That way a team is not penalized (loss of down? no way!) except for losing a timeout if a challenge is lost. Now, challenge flag rules apply, one per half and a TO must be available... OR, each team is given one special challenge per game reserved only for official's errors that impact game time. That way other challenges/ timeouts are not affected. No one's going to save a timeout just in case an official makes an error at the end of the game that kills the clock... I would want a special Official's Error Challenge Flag, one per each team, one per game, that challenges only the time lost due to official's error... Not going to happen but.. that's the way I'd approach it...
  19. No words to say... Just a great big smile on my face... 😁
  20. The Predators are good. Not worried about the Red Wings. We know they're not yet ready for prime time...
  21. This is what a clueless Archie Bunker says, addled by partisan hackery... This is what someone says when they actually know what they are talking about.
  22. Like Carlson Tucker and Archie Bunker. Two peas in a pod.
  23. Yes, but I don't think it was ratified by US Congress until 1993... so it wasn't "official" until the ratification.
