Good. Let's see what he can do.

Something that this country needs. But because there is a Dem Administration, the only thing that matters is a big F.U. to the Dems, forget what the country needs. I'm glad Upton had the balls to do the right thing, as well as all of the other Republican Senators and Congressman. That caller can go F himself. I am sick to death of these contemptable scumbags.

Pfife: ... some double standard where "F Biden" is condemned but "F Trump" is celebrated. ewsieg: ... yes, I did say that, because it's true. One of the ... 'truisms' where people on each side find themselves offended by one and proudly saying the other. An 84 comment: I won't claim innocence on this because I cannot. But let me restate that: Prior to the racist/ obstuctionist Tea Party Republicans (or any previous bigoted politicians - from any party), I never stated an F Republicans point of view. I voted Republican as recently as 2004. And prior. But Trump? Hell yes, F Trump. And THESE Republicans, yes, F Them. They are despicable, racist, ignorant, fascist retrogrades. But the thing is, for those establishment, ethical, non-racist conservatives, I do NOT have that sentiment. For those willing to work with others for the betterment of this country, I do NOT have that sentiment. For those who have some graciousness and honesty and integrity, I do NOT have that sentiment. For those conservatives who have actual plans/ policies to move this country forward into the future, instead of hanging onto a past that no longer exists or that needs to be transitioned away from in order to introduce the future USA, I do NOT have that sentiment. For those who follow the rule of law rather than trying to subvert the Constitutional Right of any voting age Americans to vote, I do NOT have that sentiment. Any fiscally conservative Republican who is also socially liberal... I do NOT have that sentiment. So... what Percent of the current Republican Party meets this definition? And for any Republican who is willing to subvert anyone's Constitutional right to vote, is unwilling to stand up to the Jan 6th Insurrection against the Constitution of the United States, is a straight up racist, liar, or unethical, or supports Trump... They can go F themselves. And F Trump. And... STILL Biden doesn't deserve an F Biden, nor did Obama deserve an F Obama. But I heard plenty of that during his 8 years. Mostly from my white trash bigoted family. So... you know what? F them too.

Obama tried as early as 2011 to push an Infrastructure Plan through Congress and the Tea Party Republicans said "F.U. You're a black (unspoken) Dem President so we don't give a F about the country... Partisan Republicans Only." Right?

Stafford watch (A place for Stafford discussion)
1984Echoes replied to RedRamage's topic in Detroit Lions
Well... we'll see about that in the playoffs. In fact, that's probably the only thing that matters... from Stafford and the Rams' perspective. -
As an aside: it was the Pope who authorized genocide. But your 90% was mostly due to disease. Not genocide.

You're talking about kids who created the KKK, Jim Crow, and lynchings... right?
-
They're only doing that because of Hinch. But if we actually get Correa, partly because Hinch, well then... Hell Yeah!
-
Harris and Obama and others should do the majority of the touring/ talking whilst Biden does more National or state-wide appearances, methinks...

Money-grubbing deuchebag.

Here, I'll give a Republican solution: Instead of "reparations", create an "inner city revival" program: Microlending. It's successful in 3rd world countries. It doesn't cost tax payer dollars. It creates small businesses by the thousands as individual borrowers create these businesses. It injects large amounts of funds into inner cities, creating businesses, wealth, and inner-city economic multipliers as that wealth is further spent... "revival". And if it is for minorities, then it can equally benefit Asians, Blacks, Hispanics.

Screw that. Although... I didn't need CRT myself, in the 70's... because I did my own research. Underground railroad. Harriet Tubman. Nat Turner. Abolitionist. Frederick Douglass. John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry (went there). Roots. Alex Haley. The Emancipation Proclamation. Approximately 12 million imported into the Americas (starting mainly in Jamaica and other Caribbean islands) with an estimated 2 million dead from the Africa-to-Americas passage alone. It's not hard to have a F'ing conscience about this but, for whatever reason, a large percentage of white America maintains a F.U., Hate U attitude that exceeds anywhere else on the planet. (Maybe? Exists in Europe but I believe at a much, much lower level... Higher percentages the more North/ northeastern Europe you go (Germany/ Poland/ Russia)).

PS: Your assertion that the Tigers cannot draft and develop is ancient history. It no longer applies.
-
F me...!
-
I got your point exactly. You think we have a lack of successful development. In fact you stated we are crappy at developing anyone who is not a top 5 pick in the 1st round. Am I stating this incorrectly? So I listed: Spencer Turnbull, Tarik Skubal, Tyler Alexander, Matt Manning, Derek Hill, Greg Soto, Kyle Funkhauser, and Dillon Dingler. Spencer Turnbull was drafted in the 2nd round 2014. Meets your requirements. Explain to me how he is NOT a successful draft and develop. Tarik Skubal was drafted in the 9th round 2018. Meets your requirements. Explain to me how he is NOT a successful draft and develop. Tyler Alexander was drafted in the 3rd round 2015. Meets your requirements. Explain to me how he is NOT a successful draft and develop. Matt Manning was drafted in the 1st round 2016, out of HS at #9, and was raw as hell. Meets your requirements. Explain to me how he is NOT a successful draft and develop. Derek Hill was drafted at #23 in the 1st round 2014. Meets your requirements. Explain to me how he is NOT a successful draft and develop. Greg Soto was an International signing in 2012 which is essentially the same as draft and develop. Meets your requirements (not a top 5 1st rounder). Explain to me how he is NOT a successful draft and develop. Kyle Funkhauser was drafted in the 4th round 2016. Meets your requirements. Explain to me how he is NOT a successful draft and develop. Dillon Dingler was drafted in the 2nd round 2020. Meets your requirements. Hasn't made MLB yet, obviously... but just watch him as he becomes our starter at catcher so in due time... he'll be another successful draft and develop. You can put him on hold if you want to...
-
Yeah... I think there's better and cheaper than him so no thanks...
-
Oh... You're talking about how many HOF'ers have we drafted and developed outside of a top5 1st round pick? Well how many does ANY team develop on that basis?
-
Maybe next year...
-
Which is why I don't mind Story or Semien if they can be had for 3-5 years at $25mm AAV... I'll take short-term lower money if we get outbid by the Yankees/ Dodgers/ etal...
-
I don't think they'll look to add a starter at the deadline. Maybe a reliever, maybe a bat. And I think when they break Spring Training, they'll be a playoff contender. With only one above average Starter added, the best SS they can find... and I still think they add one vet reliever. I'm not guaranteeing playoffs here... I'm just saying that I think you are undervaluing the additions they'll make and the internal improvements, and that they will at least be a contender for the playoffs.
-
All of them.
-
There's no reason to risk that... If he can get a 10 year contract right now.

Let's go Brandon!!! Keep kicking Republican Red-asses!!!
