  1. I thought the scouting prospect analysis on Hooker was that he a bit like Goff but with better mobility: accurate, reads the field well, has some arm strength but not howitzer level like a Stafford, and some mobility whenever needed to make something out of broken plays. He had a mid-1st round grade but slipped due to age and the ACL. IIRC. If he's Lite or Super-Lite-Rodgers it's good enough for a backup... IMO. Brilliant move by Holmes to draft him... and buddha was correct: he was available in the 3rd and we didn't need to use a 2nd round pick (which I was willing to spend on him) to get him...
  2. Hooker will be QB2 for the Lions for the next 3 years. Book it.
  3. MQGA delusion.
  4. 3,275 years. Or more.
  5. You keep him. As a Super Bowl potential team, who do you want as a backup if Goff should get nicked up a few games, or miss a playoff game, or worst-case the remainder of a season? Nate Sudfeld? Or Hendon Hooker? IMO, Hooker is an awesome best-case backup for at least the next 3 years. Full stop.
  6. Offense bailed us out this game... Wait...! WHAT?!?!
  7. Tigers are winning 3-0 BTW...
  8. I don't remember ever seeing keith with that high of a power expectation? I always thought it was 55-60? But maybe it ticked up as he filled out after high school?
  9. PS: On Tork's 2020 Draft: 1. Torkelson 2. Dingler 2B (comp) Daniel Cabrera 3. Trei Cruz 4. Gage Workman 5. Colten Keith UDFA: Wilmer Flores Trei Cruz & Workman appear to be making a bit of a move upwards with their hit tools. Gage obviously moreso than Trei. The only real laggard at the moment is Danny Cabrera and he was supposed to have a great hit tool which hasn't panned out. Aside from Tork's struggles... there is still a lot of "potential" (dirty word, sorry...) coming out of this draft. On the whole...
  10. I think he was getting arm soreness at 3B so they brought him over to 2B to lessen the throws for him...
  11. Sunday night games: Toledo Loses to St. Paul 5-4 Meadows 1-5, double 1 K, .499 OPS Urshela 3-3 all singles but he seems ready to get back to MLB... Malloy 0-3, 1 BB, .868 OPS Bigbie 1-4, .685 OPS Dingler 1-3, single-SF, .726 OPS All singles today except for Parker's double... Madden 5 IP's, 3 H 3 BB's 7 K's 1 ER, 7.50 ERA in Toledo (7 runs in 3 1st AAA start, 2 ER's in 4 - 2nd, 1 ER in 5 today = he's getting better handling AAA batters...?) Flores gave up 4 ER's in 1 inning, 6.04 ERA Erie Wins 7-0 over Richmond Workman 1-4, .896 OPS Lee 3-4, 2 HR's & 5 RBI's, .793 OPS Trei Cruz 2-4, .646 OPS Ya know: Trei Cruz is a SS and he's in Erie... I don't know if that gets us anywhere... he's mostly struggled in the minors and .646 is not "fantastic" or anything.... I'm just saying... He's in the Cruz bloodline so...?) Lockhart (2021-9th rounder from the Dodgers, 26 yo LH'er) 5 IP's, 1 H 2 BB's 2 K's, 1.93 ERA WM Loses to Ft. But a 1.48 WHIP. Lakeland Wins 6-4 over Daytona McGonigle 1-4, .806 OPS Clark 2-4, singles, .695 OPS Briceno 1-2, triple, 1 BB, .831 OPS Jose De La Cruz, 2-4, 2 singles, .726 OPS
  12. Decided to not be lazy: 8% elderly which could be men or women or a mix... So 8% uncertainty baked into the UN numbers...
  13. Never would have guessed. But... 40+32+20 = 92. What's the missing 8%? (Sorry, I'm being lazy...)
  14. This sounds about right. Now if we could only get this offense to wake up... Or at least a few certain players. Tork opened his eyes today, stretched, yawned, and smacked his 1st HR of the year. Need... More...
  15. Well... This is funny timing on TORK!!!'s 1st HR... But at least it breaks the ice...
  16. Thank you Colt.
  17. Verlander's gonna toss a no-hitter against us...
  18. He double-dipped on a tax deduction... And got caught.
  19. Do you know why Cristian Santana is struggling so much...?
  20. 21. I'd love to see Keith break out...
  22. So who is going to sit for Baddoo? Canha, Wenceel, Carpenter...? Certainly not Greene. Or is he just a pinch hitter...? Just thinking out loud here: I'd almost rather call up Dingler and give him two games a week in place of Kelly... Just to expose him to MLB pitching... and to see what he's got...
  23. Erie Game Highlights: https://www.milb.com/erie/video/troy-melton-fans-his-fifth-batter-in-five-scoreless https://www.milb.com/erie/video/trei-cruz-slugs-his-second-homer-of-the-season https://www.milb.com/erie/video/hao-yu-lee-s-four-rbi-game Hmmm... Uncertain why I cannot get the actual video to post...?
