    Hard to believe this could be the Lions' last home game of the season. On the other hand, if you're an optimist, the Lions may have already played their last road game of the season, not counting the neutral site Super Bowl.

    Good for Warner. That’s exactly what I’d expect a guy to say getting his teammates pumped up before the game, even if they were playing for the Panthers or Jaguars.

    I don’t care what anyone says, I’ve always liked Pierre McGuire. His enthusiasm, his awkwardness, his call-outs to a player’s junior team even after he has been in the NHL for ages.

    And he is expected back for Minnesota next week, right? At least JRM got snaps this week, hope another 6 days helps him get up to speed.

    The way I look it, the Lions are three wins from making the Super Bowl. 3 home wins starting next week would be hard but doable, 3 road wins after a loss next week would be possible but very unlikely.

    Fanduel favors the Lions by 2.5 over Minnesota, over/under of 52.5

    The Lions will score 30+. They might still lose, but it won’t be as much as 60-30.

    And we will be sweating next week even if the Lions get up. No lead is safe with this defense! The Lions could be 21 pts ahead of the Vikings going into the 4th quarter and I’d still be nervous.

    True. I’m glad the Niners scored that garbage time TD. A 12-point win would have flattered the Lions. Still tons of things to work on the next 6 days.

    Well, a win, no injuries, hopefully a chastened Branch, and gave a Vikings a chance to be overconfident.

    Agree, but with Bates now missing two extra points tonight I guess you better grab the 6 points when you can.

    With this Lions’ defense and as long as the Niners keep their three timeouts, I’m not yet taking this win for granted.

    Why not go for 2 there? 14 pt lead is way better than 12 or 13 pts.

    True,I guess no downside. But against this Lions defense they could keep trying regular plays and still get highlight reel tape out of it.

    I’m shocked the Niners even attempted that field goal? Going it on 4th and down was probably a higher percentage.
