  1. That pass when in the air sure looked like it was going to be the go ahead TD.
  2. Random CFL comment/thought
  3. Seahawks won on a last second FG last week, lost on a missed last second FG attempt vs the Rams today.
  4. I don’t remember this Lions-Packers play https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2014/12/28/7458613/lions-successfully-execute-onside-punt-vs-packers
  5. Still not sure how the Michigan lineman was able to get in there and strip sack the Ohio State QB at such a big moment. Must have done have some sign-stealing.
  6. So what is the rule on kicks after a safety. I know you can onside it, but probably only if you do it kickoff style? On a punt kick, like the Bears opted for, if anyone is allowed to grab it (maybe they can't) why did the Bears seem to give the Lions space to field it? If it's like a regular punt where the kicking team doesn't get possession if they grab it, why did the Lions even field it instead of backing off and letting it bounce dead? Could have been a big play, as if the Bears somehow had recovered it they would have had it at their own 40 with 20 seconds to go and 2 timeouts, time at least to set up a Hail Mary attempt.
  7. True, but on the other hand, right before the first TD he almost threw an INT (quite possibly would have been a pick-6) from the Chicago 2, then there was another near-interception on a throw up the middle at some point in the 4th quarter. EDIT: only read your first sentence before I posted, lol, didn't see "his worth throw" part of your post.
  8. Ha, show me this headline without watching the game and I'd be scratching my head how that could happen.
  9. I'm going to go get some stuff done and then come back in later for Broncos-Vikings, which will be like playing with house money.
  10. Here are the Jamo TD to make it close, the Montgomery go-ahead score and then the sack/safety. Jamo TD Gets It Close.m4a Montgomery’s Go-Ahead TD.m4a Sack Safety Clinches Win.m4a
  11. So the Wolverines and Lions both won this weekend. As we all expected. Ho hum.
  12. I think you should have run it there. Maybe here on 3rd down here.
  13. Goff has one more big pass in him. Depends who will catch it - a Bear or a Lion.
  14. I think I’m more confident the Lions can get a TD here than I am that they can keep the Bears from getting a winning FG after they get the ball back.
  15. A Chicago mistake, not Detroit doing something good.
  16. I will regret typing this, but I think you have to kick deep and pray for a stop.
  17. Need a TD before the 2 minute warning.
  18. Goff could easily have had 5 INTs today. The near pick-6 from Chicago’s 2 and now this.
  19. 2 picks, a sack on 3rd and 2, and now a fumbled kickoff return.
  20. A phantom call that has cost the Lions 3 points.
  21. I’ never played football at a level where game film is studied, so I don’t know, but I always thought sign stealing was one of the reasons you study game film. What plays a team runs, what plays a team runs when lined up in a particular formation, what plays a team runs in particular score and down situations, what plays might be triggered after particular player substitutions, ehat are the individual strengths and weaknesses of each individual on the other team and …what plays are run after specific sideline cues/signs. I see it is all educated guesswork. And I assumed every team would try to use decoy tactics to throw future opponents off. All a big shrug to me if you had asked me a month ago.
  22. 3rd 11-win season in a row, one of which was 12 and one was 13. Hoke had 1. Carr had 2, one of which was 12. Schembechler had 2. Yost had 4, one of which was 12. Of course no one played more than 12 games in a season, including bowl games, until 2002.
