  1. Only good thing is that if the Tigers had taken advantage of some chances and were ahead going into the 8th they would have blown it all this inning anyways.
  2. Of course. Guardians do nothing all day and then with one swing of the bat the #9 hitter hits his 6th homer of the year to put Cleveland ahead.
  3. 12 runners left on base, 7 in scoring position.
  4. lol, the catcher might as well have stood up and set up directly behind the left handed batters box.
  5. He could have waited and pinch hit for Perez. I’d rather a left handed strikeout machine Greene than a right handed deep slump Perez
  6. Terrible call! Jones was really walked.
  7. Greene can’t let this get to 2 strikes.
  8. 1st and 3rd 0 out in a 7inning tie game. LFG!!
  9. Right, the Tigers took a 100% sure thing (the 2nd run) and put it on the table risking a marginally better chance of scoring an additional run than if the runner had stopped at 2nd. Meadows has only a 30% chance of even getting on base.
  10. Yeah, and I guess Hinch alluded to that in the on-field interview just before that when he said Skubal’s outing yesterday kept some bullpen arms rested.
  11. Did the 2nd run score before the play at 3rd?
  12. 2 on 0 out turns to 3 straight strikeouts of the 3-4-5 hitters and 0 runs. Frustration remains.
  13. A week ago Rocchio would have made that play. The tide is turning.
  14. Really good day of baseball. Yankees load the bases in the bottom of the 9th with no outs and trailing by 2, but Chapman buckles down going strikeout, fly out and strikeout to save it.
  15. Crochet’s day is in the same conversation as Skubal’s. 7 2/3 innings, 117 pitches, 4H 1R 0BB 11Ks.
  16. We naturally focus on our own frustrations during Tigers games, but consider it from a Cleveland fan's perspective today: - with runs at a premium facing Skubal, the Guardians give up an unearned run in the 1st thanks to a right fielder's error after Williams had started the game ideally getting 2 outs on 2 pitches - give up another unearned run in the 7th because the 1st baseman gets his feet tangled up and doesn't touch the bag -after being gifted a runner on 3rd and with a chance to negate Skubal's gem by tying the game, Rodriguez's baserunning blunder gets him thrown out at 3rd and kills the rally
  17. For those that had to miss seeing the bottom of the 9th here are the key plays, minus the strikeout for the 1st out.
  18. Skubal said just now that he assumed the 7th inning was the end of his day but AJ didn’t give him the handshake and he will never pull himself out of a game.
  19. So I wanted to give you a chance to listen in relaxed comfort to Dan D and Bobby Scales call the final 2 outs, but I keep getting an error message when I try to upload it here.
  20. What an exciting 9th inning, both the top and bottom. Tigers win!!’
