They’re 5-5-1 in past 11. Playing exactly to their full season level. St. Louis is 6-2-2 in past 10. Vancouver is 5-3-2. Ottawa is 4-4-2. Buffalo is 5-4-1. Only Washington at 2-6-2 has fallen apart.

Wild game. Wings twice have come back from 2-goals deficits 6-6 headed to OT.

Hate to be bearer of bad news, but the Wings are going to be officially eliminated the playoffs within the hour. Florida, NYI and Pitt are all winning big.

All the games against the Sabres seem to be high scoring. At least the Wings are scoring some of their own tonight. But trail 6-5 late in 3rd.

They’re still drafting higher than they would have most of the season through the end of February. They’re simply bouncing up from bottom after a mini-collapse.

I think I prefer him to Jim Price. He has smart things to say. But talks too quickly and a bit too much for my liking. I like a slower pace on the radio.

When I was a kid, when I’d hear an announcer say that a win was good for a team’s morale I thought that meant morals. So I’d picture teammate after a win being nice to each other and complimenting each other and going out for dinner together. But after a loss arguing with each other and swearing and getting drunk and finding scapegoats on the team.

I think he should have had it.

He made some ok points, but I think a) fewer fans than Eno thinks have rose-clolored glasses about Mike I and the Tigers. I then most see DD as the reason for the 2006-2014 success, not Mike I: and b) saying baseball is dying in Detroit is being a drama queen. The interest is still there and was intense a decade ago. The team sucks and that will affect ticket and merchandise sales, but 2006-2014 bought them some time. I think it would take another 10 years of losing for fans to permanently stop caring.

Don’t want to end up 12th because if I’m interpreting rules correctly that officially would knock them out of the Bedard running. You can only move up 10 spots.

It's funny, they're 5-10-1 starting with the Ottawa games and if they had merely played to their season's average of a point per game during that stretch they'd only be 4 points out of a playoff spot with a game in hand and we'd by psyched about tonight's barnburner in Manitoba.
